Black Mountain School is a specialized establishment that caters to students with disabilities in years 7-12 from the northside of Canberra. We are proud to be recognized as a center for excellence in education, offering deeply personalized learning experiences for all of our students.

At Black Mountain School, we are dedicated to providing rigorous and authentic hands-on learning experiences that are tailored to each individual's needs. We understand that every student is unique, and we strive to meet them at their point of need.

Upon joining Black Mountain School, our staff, students, and families work together to develop a Personal Futures Action Plan (PFAP) for each student. This plan follows them throughout their time at our school and beyond, providing a seamless pathway into post-school life.

Our students and staff are organized into four Learning Teams: Compass, Connect, Engage, and Link. These teams are based on each student's learning goals and pathways identified in their PFAP. We believe in educating the whole child, and our passionate staff develops personalized learning programs to meet the needs of all learners within each team.
