"Dear Alliance Francaise, I have been trying to learn French by myself for two years and have felt frustrated in that my progress seems so slow. In the space of doing a two week intensive course I have learnt so much vocabulary and while I am no where yet fluent, I have understood the joys of working with like minded people and the benefits of having friendly supportive and knowledge French teachers to help me achieve my goals! I will be back and I thank you so much for the inspiration and joy that you have provided me in learning about the French language. Merci beaucoup!"
"If you're looking to learn French, regardless of your level, the Alliance Française de Canberra is a wonderful place to choose. I started as a complete beginner and I've made fast and excellent progress because of the high quality teaching and the supportive environment. I've taken group, private and workshop-style classes and they've all been run in a friendly, professional way to work on different aspects of my French. The teachers are exemplary: they're all native French speakers and they go out of their way to help you make progress. And, the centre runs cultural events year round. I could not recommend the Alliance Française more highly for anybody with even a passing interest in learning French."
"I recently completed Discovery 2 beginners course as well as an add on short "Doctor Course" for grammar (a half hour thoroughly dealing with one grammar subject per lesson) at Alliance Française and I am greatly impressed by the professionalism shown by the enthusiastic French native teachers. French and English language were used by the teachers, emphasis on French mostly. Stand out aspects of the classroom atmosphere were respect and encouragement to learn and steady pressure with a relaxing mix of humour. At the end of the course I could look back and plainly see the progress of the class along the ten weeks. I am soon to visit France and feel confident in my ability to order in restaurants, buy in shops and ask questions generally of the local people and in railway stations and airports etc. and that is from a beginner course. Learning French is great fun and it keeps your brain exercised. I have got value for money."

"Absolutely one of the best places to learn French in Canberra. In very little time I went from knowing nothing to been able to speak and communicate ideas in French. Teachers are very patient and professional and the institute provides a safe and close environment to learn the language and the culture at the same time."
