Gilmore Primary School

Welcome to Gilmore Primary School, located on Heagney Crescent in the beautiful suburb of Gilmore, in the Tuggeranong region of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Established in 1987, our school has a rich history and a strong connection with the local community.

At Gilmore Primary School, we believe in acknowledging and honoring the traditional owners of the land, the Ngunnawal people, at all our school functions. We recognize and respect their contributions to the land and culture.

Our website is a collaborative effort, developed by students, staff, and families, to provide a comprehensive overview of our quality teaching and learning programs. We work closely with our school community to deliver these programs, ensuring the best possible education for our students.

We understand the importance of sun protection for our students, especially during peak ultraviolet radiation (UVR) times between 10am and 3pm. As a SunSmart school, we prioritize the protection of our students' skin and educate them about SunSmart behavior. This includes wearing a SunSmart hat with a 7.5cm brim, legionnaire-style or bucket, and appropriate clothing made of closely woven fabric with collars and sleeves.
