"Great prices"
"I imagine this store has come under suspicion for serving minors in their short time opening; to the point of now ridiculous service “rules” which the team member claims as “the law”. I popped down to grab a couple of six packs of beer for my husband and some Smirnoff ice for myself. My 17 year old son was with me. I placed the items on the counter to pay with an EFTPOS card in my name. The team member asked my son for ID. I explained they were not for him and I was not purchasing the items for him, he was just with me. It was mid morning and we were not in any way intoxicated. He was clearly not paying for them nor had he chosen any items. She refused to serve me and told me to “it’s the law”. She then told me to go to BWS down the road! Mind blowing officiousness! My husband popped down later to purchase the exact same items. Madness. Neither of us would ever encourage/endorse/be enticed by our underage teens to purchase alcohol. There is no signage in this store to indicate their translation of the law. I fully appreciate and understand the responsible service of alcohol legislation in SA, and approve of it. But this team member was power tripping…."
