Fitch Sharpening & Tools

"Fitch has sharpened the straight & serrated blades on my Leatherman multi tool (slight burr left on the back of the serrated - otherwise this would be a 5 star review). Fitch also put a terrific edge on my camping knife. I very happy with their service and the prices are entirely reasonable."

"Took four kitchen knives in to be sharpened on Tuesday morning and they were completed by Thursday afternoon. All four had more burrs on them than when I dropped them off. Granted they were sharper, but not by much. One wouldn’t even cut through paper. $70 for four knives also seemed excessive to me as I used to get mine done for $5 a knife. It sounds like they need to hire another employee as there is only one bloke in there doing the work. I’ll be going elsewhere."

"1 star is 3 too many!!!! Took 25 tenon saws in to be sharpened during the first week of December 22, informed them that they were for a school and were needed back at the beginning of February at the latest (when school returns) chased them up at the end of January and was told that they hadn't been returned to Fitch yet. Followed up again Monday 13th February to find that they have not even started the process of sharpening the saws. Went a got our unsharpened saws back - since changing hands this shop has gone down a very steep hill. Will not be back."

"Fantastic place! I took my kitchen knives there to be sharpened today. They were pretty blunt, couldn't cut tomato skin cleanly. Used them tonight and just fell through everything, onions, tomatoes, etc. They also sharpened my six knives while I was out doing other runs in Fyshwick so I didn't have to drive back out again another day, only a few hours."
