Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School
About the Business
Welcome to Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School Amaroo, located at 99 Burdekin Avenue in Australia. Our school, in partnership with the Holy Spirit Parish, is dedicated to making Jesus' vision and mission central in our students' lives.
At Good Shepherd, we provide a strong foundation for children in Kindergarten through Year 6, preparing them for their future education and adult lives. Our primary focus is on promoting the safety, wellbeing, and inclusion of all children. We believe in teaching the importance of good manners and the need for kindness at all times.
In addition to our academic curriculum, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities to enhance our students' learning experience. Students have the opportunity to participate in Music, Sport, STEM, and learn the beautiful language of Italian.
As the Principal of Good Shepherd, I am privileged to be a part of this vibrant institution. Our school community is built on a strong sense of unity, with a dedicated staff, supportive parents, and an active and visionary Community Council. We are proud to be a part of a parish led by Fr Mark Croker, where all students are encouraged to value and respect themselves and others on their journey of faith, learning, and life.
We warmly welcome inquiries from families who are seeking a Catholic education for their children. We believe that a Catholic education at Good Shepherd can make a significant difference in your child's life. We invite you to join our community and experience the warmth and support that our school offers.

Reviews
"My son loves this school as do I. I wish I had gone there too."
"Love it! But the toilets have pee on them."
"Ignoring the ridiculous 1 star reviews clearly from the public school students next door, this is a terrific school. Any parents considering this school should take advantage of an accompanied 'walk-thru' with the Principal, David Austin. Top down, you will quickly see why this school is so popular (and unfortunately why there can be a waiting list). We aren't an overly religious family, so thankfully the school is very accommodating and has modern views in relation to inclusiveness of different beliefs. Our kids have blossomed there and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone considering Good Shepherd. It's a smaller traditional primary school, vs the 'super school' model at Amaroo School (which encompasses both primary and secondary school). I leave it up to individual parents to work out for themselves whether that's a good idea or not- but we certainly weren't fans of it when first moving to the Gungahlin area."
"this is a great school people don't know how great it is its not absolutely amazing since i had no friends for half of the year but its not terrible i don't know why people are saying that its terrible - Some girl who use to go to this school but now goes to high school"
