City Hill is proud to embrace and honor the rich cultural heritage of the Ngunnawal people, who are recognized as Canberra's first inhabitants and Traditional Custodians. We acknowledge their deep connection and special relationship with this land, and we pay our respects to the elders, both male and female, who have preserved the pathways of their ancestors for generations.
Before the displacement of the Ngunnawal people, they thrived on this land, with their life and culture intricately intertwined with its essence. The separation from their Culture and Country has had profound and long-lasting effects on their health, well-being, families, and the continuation of their law and lore.
City Hill recognizes and acknowledges the historic interruption faced by the Ngunnawal people and their surrounding regions. We express our gratitude for their significant contribution in caring for Country, as they have maintained a deep connection to these lands and waters for countless generations.
As we pay tribute to the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the ACT, we also acknowledge any other people or families with a connection to the lands of the ACT and region. We deeply respect their continuing culture and the valuable contribution they make to the vibrant life of this city and region.
Come and explore City Hill, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings while honoring the rich cultural heritage of this land. Join us in celebrating the Ngunnawal people and their enduring legacy.

Reviews
"I went there once and had food and coffee. I can say the coffee was one of the best coffee i have had and the food was really good as well. The chef made the coffee. I think he was helping out the other staff and he made such a beautiful coffee. I had such a beautiful experience there."
"Was expecting a little more considering this looked like the main central park for the city, but there wasn't too much going on here. No one around, a few benches and viewpoints, but otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. For some reason there are hundreds of rabbits around here as well."
"Was expected a little more from the central hill, with the walk leading up to City Hill being certainly better than the hill itself. The pathway leading up was full of rabbits and the path was well maintained. Unfortunately there was no clear path up the grass verge to the central part of the hill, and there was lots of rubbish with the grass overgrown. A few benches at the top with some reasonable views."
"The flag can be seen from add far as across the bridge, as an icon of this place. But there isn't much to see here when you are up close. There's a flag in the middle and a memorial on the side."
