Lennox Gardens is proud to be a family-friendly destination, providing a guide to spectacular spring activities across our parks and reserves. With a deep appreciation for the Ngunnawal people, the traditional custodians of this land, we strive to honor their rich heritage and culture.
This country is the ancestral and spiritual homeland of the Ngunnawal people. We hold deep respect for their elders, both male and female, and for the Ngunnawal country itself. Their commitment to preserving the pathways of their ancestors is truly inspiring, as they continue to walk together as one.
The Ngunnawal people have a profound connection to this land, which predates the displacement they experienced. Their thriving life and culture were intricately intertwined with this land in a way that only they understand and know, forming the core of their physical and spiritual being. Unfortunately, the segregation from their culture and country has had lasting effects on their health, well-being, cultural practices, families, and the continuation of their law and lore.
We acknowledge and recognize the historic interruption the Ngunnawal people of Canberra and the surrounding regions have faced. Their significant contribution in caring for this Country cannot be understated. For countless generations, they have maintained a deep connection to these lands and waters, encompassing their tangible and intangible cultural, social, environmental, spiritual, and economic aspects.
As we acknowledge the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the ACT, we also extend our recognition to any other people or families with a connection to the lands of the ACT and region. We hold utmost respect for their continuing culture and the invaluable contribution they make to the life of this city and region.
Join us at Lennox Gardens to experience the beauty of nature, learn about the rich indigenous heritage, and immerse yourself in the tranquility that this extraordinary establishment offers.

Reviews
"Great views, some interesting sculptures and plantings but few botanical labels or natives. Amusing from a foreign relations perspective they put China and Japan together. Monkeybar height inaccessible for smaller kids. Picnic in progress, seems a good spot. Toilets poorly maintained, signposted and in an inconvenient location."
"Beautifully landscaped area on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin, with enchanting gardens designed, built and donated by Japan and China. Shady and peaceful. Perfect spot for a picnic on a fine summer's day."
"Beautiful lakeside garden with lush green surroundings. There is a walking path / cycling path along the lake. Nice picnic spots available under the shade of large trees."
"Simply beautiful....the journey by Neuron bikes to and from around Lake Burley Griffin was fab...worth exploring the beautiful route to Lennox and back..."
"One of the best gardens in Canbeera, which is on the southern shore or Lake Burly Griffin. Whether you are visiting the park in spring, summer, autumn or winter, there are plenty of things to do around the park - or simply walk along the lake and take in some of the best views and amazing sunsets."
