Welcome to Anglicare at Franklin School, located at 135 Oodgeroo Avenue in Australia. Our institution offers a range of services to cater to the needs of children from 6 weeks old up to school age.

At Anglicare at Franklin School, we provide long day care for children, operating as part of Franklin School. We also offer before and after school care for children aged 4 to 8 years old. During school holidays, we run a holiday program specifically designed for children in Kindergarten to Year 2.

We understand that leaving your child in someone else's care can be a daunting experience. That's why we encourage parents to spend time at our Early Learning Centre (ELC) with their child prior to leaving them. You are welcome to spend as much or as little time as you need, and our friendly staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Your peace of mind is our top priority, and we strive to ensure that you feel relaxed and confident when entrusting your child to us.

We believe that a calm and unhurried routine helps children feel calm as well. When you arrive at our centre, take the time to sign in, put away your child's belongings, and settle them into an activity. Once your child is engaged, let them know that you will be leaving soon. Always say goodbye and reassure your child that you will be back to pick them up after work. This helps build trust and a sense of security.

If you ever have any concerns or worries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are available to speak with you at any time during the day, and we will contact you if your child becomes upset or if anything out of the ordinary occurs.

When you come to pick up your child, take a moment to talk to our staff who will provide you with updates on how your child has been throughout the day. Our day book will also give you information about their activities, sleep times, and meals. Engage with your child about their day and encourage them to show you what they have been doing.

In the first few days, your child may find it easier to settle on some days more than others. It's helpful for us to know about any significant events in your child's life, such as changes in sleeping or eating habits, or what they did over the weekend. This information allows our educators to have a better understanding of your child's overall well-being.

We recommend that your child brings a small to medium-sized backpack to ensure all their belongings remain together. Our centre provides all food requirements and nappies for your child, using disposable nappies and Sudocream.

Anglicare centres have a strong focus on allergy awareness, and we will inform you of any specific foods or medications that cannot be brought into our centre.
