"My friend suffered serious racial discrimination here. After checking her ID, the cashier said, "I suspect you are North Korean, so I can't sell alcohol to you. " That's totally unacceptable. She is an adult and can legally consume alcohol. The inner logic of this cashier was "any Asian can be North Korean; I hate North Korean; so I don't sell alcohol to them according to my own law." That is extreme Racism covered up by political opinions. My friend came here for a holiday to visit friends from South Korea with her children. I feel terribly sorry for her that she had to suffer from this kind of discrimination in Australia and bring back bad memories home. I hope the manager can take this seriously. Please feel free to contact me for the time when this happened and a description of this cashier."
