Reviews of Phillip Community Health Centre
"I go to Philip Community Health centre for early childhood appointments. The nurses there are excellent: very empathetic and attentive."
"I imagine you've heard a lot of nonsense about government dentists; I have. I've had a lot of dental problems all my life and seen a lot of dentists both in Australia and overseas, and then I've spent a long time with these people, and I don't think many private dentists are even in their league."
"Would give -5 if I could. Entire system has been one disaster after another. Had 14 teeth removed in the space of 7 months, it should have been done all at once under anesthesia. My best friend had it done that way. So that was 7 months of dental infections, agony, and constant rescheduling of appointments. Some of which added weeks to my wait time. I went to Emergency at the hospital 4 times due to the agony. Then I start the denchure process. 5 times now they have moved my appointments, dragging out the process by probably a couple of extra months now. They only have ONE denchure technician on staff, he only works 2 days a week, and now this is the 5th time I have had an appointment moved. First he had to teach a class!? Still don't know why that merited moving my appointment. Then he was on holidays, they called at 9am for a 10am appointment. If he was on holidays why even book appointments for his planned holiday time? The past 2 times he has been sick or something. This 5th time they didn't even give me an excuse. Last Thursday I rocked up at 2pm, expecting to leave with teeth. They had attempted to contact me from a private number, and due to my severe anxiety I don't normally answer private numbers. They kept blaming me for not answering the call. Blame the victim. The woman was very short with me about the whole thing and kept saying she didn't make the appointments. So I had a panic attack in the center, embarrassed myself, everyone in the building was staring at me as I was shaking and was quite upset. The next appointment was set for like 3 weeks time at 2:20PM. Due to my insomnia the only reason I agreed to a 2pm appointment was because I thought I was leaving with teeth. Eventually I was told to sit down and they would see what they cpuld do. So they moved it to a weeks time at 9:20am. I cried as I was leaving, but held onto the fact it would only be a week. They called me yesterday, it's been moved AGAIN to early next month now, and the woman on the phone told me she understood how I felt, I explained that unless she has lived a year of her life without teeth, being judged by everyone, malnourished and unable to eat, that she really doesn't. I've lost count of the amount of times I've told my family "I get my teeth today finally!" And to have it not happen. Funnily enough they just called me as I was writing this review to offer me a spot today at midday after I left them a HUGE voicemail explaining all of this this morning. So in short, seems they can move you if they want to, and I am happy it's happening today now, but should not have had to have had a panic attack, and made multiple phone calls, left multiple voicemails, to have this outcome. I'm A vulnerable person legally and am not generally capable of dealing with these issues without severe blowback to my mental health."
"My son seven years old has his teeth uprooted at 10:50 am dated 13th Feb 2020. There was two female dentist who did the excellent service. It was so overwhelming to have such a life time opportunity service delivery. Great job"
"Nice service but charges money if less than 7 months waiting as emergency! !!!!!"
