Welcome to Care, a community organization that has been providing support to the Canberra community since 1983. Located at Turner, Moore Street, 23, we are dedicated to promoting financial fairness for all individuals.

At Care, we offer free and confidential support on various aspects such as credit and debt matters. Our team provides specialist assistance to those affected by gambling harm or domestic and family violence, ensuring that they receive the necessary guidance and support.

Additionally, we provide free legal advice and representation on a range of issues including credit, debt, telecommunication, insurance, bankruptcy, consumer protection, and fair-trading matters. Our aim is to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate these complex areas.

To further assist the community, we conduct workshops on budgeting, managing credit and debt, and understanding consumer rights and responsibilities. These workshops not only equip individuals with essential financial skills but also offer training opportunities for frontline workers.

For those in need of essential household goods and services, we offer 0% interest loans. We also have a specialized program designed for individuals who have experienced and left domestic violence, providing them with the necessary support to rebuild their lives.

In our commitment to helping individuals overcome financial challenges, we are currently running free Budgeting for Life workshop sessions specifically for eligible participants struggling to pay off ACT traffic and parking fines. These sessions will be held in August, September, and October.
