Heathfield High School
About the Business
Welcome to Heathfield High School, a leading secondary school located in the picturesque Adelaide Hills of Australia. Our institution, situated at Heathfield, Longwood Road, 99, is not only a point of interest but also a hub for academic and personal growth.
At Heathfield High School, our primary focus is to cultivate a culture of learning throughout the entire school community. We firmly believe that positive relationships, purposeful learning, and productive communication are the three pillars that enable us to achieve this goal. With these pillars in place, we strive to create an environment where students are inspired to excel and transform their lives.
Nestled in the serene Adelaide Hills, our school offers a tranquil and idyllic setting for both local and international students. Despite being just 15 minutes away from central Adelaide, our campus is surrounded by lush bushland teeming with native flora and fauna. This unique location provides students with a harmonious balance between academic pursuits and nature's beauty.
Established in 1963, our school has a rich history and a reputation for excellence in education. Over the years, we have continuously raised the bar for both our dedicated teachers and ambitious students. Innovation and excellence are at the core of our values, which drives us to deliver diverse and high-quality programs to cater to the needs of every individual.
Heathfield High School takes great pride in its strong sense of tradition and the achievements of our past and present students. We foster a genuine and cherished connection to our school's heritage, creating an atmosphere where students can feel a part of something greater than themselves.
As one of the five specialist schools implementing the government's Entrepreneurial Learning Strategy, we encourage our students to embrace innovation and think outside the box. Additionally, we are currently planning an $11.9 million redevelopment of several school spaces as part of our commitment to building better schools.
At Heathfield High School, we are proud to be a Visible Learning School. In collaboration with our local partnership primary schools, we implement Professor John Hattie's Visible Learning Framework, ensuring that our teaching practices are evidence-based and focused on student growth.

"its an ok school canteen is good BUT.. considering we cant pay with phones, they will run out of money sooner than later. get rid of the phone ban pleaseeeeee"
"I attented here and was treated in the worst way by the deputy princable. She told me I was never going to get a job and that I was worthless. I have never forgotten that"
"Many memories here. Some great, some not so great. School was tough. A lot seems to have changed, improvements made, facilities upgraded, however the same commitment to quality education remains thanks to some great leadership and fabulous staff that have come and gone over the years."
"Would NOT recommend this school, the teachers dont have time for the students and you just sit on your laptop the whole lesson learning stuff which will not benefit you in the future"
"Seems just like yesterday I was there in year 12. I'd like to take a moment to thank the teachers for both supporting me as a student with a learning difficulty who was bullied. Also for letting me get away with a lot more than I should have for being so understanding. Sure, I got kicked out twice & internally suspended once for really dumb things. But in the end I knew those punishments were nowhere near as bad as they could have been. I sure do miss HHS sometimes for as many good reasons as bad. The bad points are what cost one star from my review. Still, I say thanks for contributing to my knowledge about the world as much as possible. There's no doubt that one day, in some way I'll achieve incredible things. This was long overdue, but there you go. ✌"
