Reviews of East Torrens Primary School
"I don't really remember this school too much because I was only at this school for 1 year when I was in reception. But I remember enough to know what this school was like in my experiance. So, Lovely music teacher, playgrounds were nice, teachers were a it strict, but not overly strict, the chess board outside was abusutly humaoungus and amazing, I thought the bin chickens on the oval would pick me up, and fly me away to their nest, the school plays were alright, + I got a teddy bear from 1 of the school plays, Very good located area, although there could be a few more trees around the place, I loved the place, on where I used to sit around 24/7, which was the sandpit, and these water spouts which was just only built when I was there in reception back in 2016. + Imet peter combe aswell. There's also I very nice sunset over there aswell."
"Relentless bullying, by students, and dishonest, unethical, teachers. I was warned this is the feral school, on this side of town. Didn't believe it after meeting the lovely deputy principal. Would have filled the councelling role much better. We had a really lovely teacher for reception. One of the J.P. teachers was very kind, and supportive. The other not very nice, at all. After they got rid of the music program/teacher, things went down hill, quickly. The school had a fantastic school counsellor, back in the beginning. Leaving the task to an untrained science teacher seemed odd. The teacher who organised children's uni and Oliphant science was lovely. The bike ed, and teach the kids to ride, wheels Wednesday program was a good idea. The sports programs were a bonus. One working toilet for 150 girl student's, in 2021. Not very good at all. Don't remember primary schools having alcohol around the school, where children can see. During school hours, and school pick up. Worst school I've ever dealt with. Have been forced to take up home schooling. My child didn't feel safe, supported, or protected, there. Seemed like a good school when my child was in reception. And when they still had the music teacher. Except for one teacher swearing in front of the children. I didn't appreciate being verbally abused by a couple of the teachers either."
"I've been to this school and it has some really kind and nice teachers but still some teachers are strict, but I still highly recommend."
