About RAAF Association
Welcome to the RAAF Association, located in the vibrant city of Adelaide, South Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing services for the benefit of our members, current and ex-members of the RAAF, their dependents, and former members of Her Majesty's Air Forces.
At the RAAF Association South Australian Division, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work and live. We celebrate the rich stories, culture, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders from all communities who are also a part of this land.
Our mission is to commemorate the deeds of those who have served before us and foster the legacy they have left for future generations. We proudly partner with RAAF Edinburgh and other stakeholders to conduct Air Force specific ceremonies, preserve Air Force heritage, and educate South Australians about the Air Force story and South Australia's contribution to it.
In our Memorial Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Torrens Parade Ground Training Depot, you will find the Battle of Britain lace panel. This panel, manufactured between 1942 and 1947, serves as a tribute to those who fought to save Britain during the historic battle.
The Air Force Association (SA Division) is a not-for-profit organization, run by a dedicated State Council consisting of a President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, State Secretary, and councillors. We meet monthly to ensure the smooth operation of our services.
Our business hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. Feel free to contact us at 08 8227 0980 or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for any inquiries or assistance.
We invite you to explore the various branches of the Air Force Association South Australian Division by clicking or tapping on the provided images. Additionally, you can download our membership application form or the Combined Mess Membership Application form to join our community.
In 2019, we celebrated the centenary of the first flight from England to Australia, an incredible achievement that inspired a new generation of aviators. To learn more about this epic flight, you can browse or download the Epic Flight Centenary booklet.
Lastly, we are proud to introduce the ADF Firefighter Scheme, which recognizes the potential health effects faced by historical fire training participants. This scheme aims to support individuals who were exposed to hazardous substances when Personal Protective Equipment standards were not as advanced as today.
Thank you for visiting the RAAF Association South Australian Division. We are committed to serving our members and preserving the proud history of the Australian Air Force.
