"Unfortunately my one and only appointment fell flat. 1. I was faced with a large German Shepard without any warning, who seemed harmless, however that is not the point. I didn't feel that I could say "no thanks" because the dog was a very large presence and once he was brought into my session, it became evident that the psychologist was more concerned for his movements than my needs. I found this to be very unprofessional. 2. I chose this psychologist as I was under the impression that they were capable of working with adults who present with adhd. I was told that there isn't an assessment for adults and after I expressed the reasons why I would like the assessment, I was given a very poor ratings checklist to fill out. It was a waste of $395, especially when the psychologist spent more time talking than listing or gathering details of my core presentation. 3. There was absolutely no care that I left feedback regarding the dog. I was made to feel like it was my issue and that it was invalid. If you have children or you yourself have a fear of dogs, find a therapist who will at least respect you enough to give you a courteous heads up. Why 2 stars and not zero stars? I don't know....perhaps there is room for them to take this feedback and adjust how they introduce their dog to clients, long before they turn up to an expensive appt."
