Curtis Wetlands
About the Business
Welcome to Curtis Wetlands, a captivating establishment located at Munno Para, Douglas Drive, 2. As a park and point of interest, our institution offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of Australia's natural wetlands.
At Curtis Wetlands, we take pride in providing a safe and healthy environment for the native ducks and other water birds that call this place home. These fascinating creatures rely on a diet consisting of aquatic plants, seeds, grasses, and insects to maintain their well-being. It is important to note that many of the foods that humans enjoy, including bread, can be harmful to these native ducks and birds, potentially making them sick. Furthermore, uneaten food left behind can contaminate the water and attract vermin and foxes to the area.
To ensure the continued health and preservation of our wildlife, we encourage visitors to refrain from feeding the ducks. Instead, we invite you to appreciate these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Observing them from a distance allows them to maintain their natural behaviors and ensures their long-term survival.
If you are interested in learning more about responsible wildlife interaction, we recommend visiting the South Australian Department for Environment and Water's website. There, you can find valuable information on how to best support and enjoy Australia's native wildlife.
At Curtis Wetlands, we strive to create an educational and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Whether you are a nature enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful escape, our institution offers a serene setting where you can connect with the wonders of Australian wetlands. Come and explore Curtis Wetlands today, and discover the beauty and diversity of our native wildlife in their natural habitat.

"Great little park to take the kiddies and feed the ducks, awesome peaceful walking trails, toilets, BBQ, playground (with good equipment) really recommend"
"Beautiful wetlands, I took my toddler here to play on the equipment and see the ducks and we went on an impromptu little nature walk. Giving it three stars because there were a number of substance-affected adults lounging on the equipment when we got there who were behaving a little erratically. It made us feel a little unsafe (my little one was holding my pants fairly tightly as they walked by us to leave). They left soon after we arrived, which is good because otherwise we would have left."
"good little area ,has toilets, BBQ, shelter ,track to walk around the wetlands ,has some car parks not sure how many tho"
"The walking path around the water pond could have been better."
"I like this place but I think it still needs some work to make it a little more accessible as once you cross the bridge there's only a dirt track. It would be nice to see a footpath around the remainder of the lake. However I did hear a roomer this could be undertaken next year sometime Otherwise a really nice setting."
