"In hindsight, the signs were there to not go into this place, however due to its competitor being full, my friend snd I decided to have brunch at Coffee Guru before a busy day of house refurbishments. Upon walking in, saw the staff behind the counter engaged in conversation. We walked in a little lost as we were unsure if it was a wait to be seated situation etc. We were not acknowledged nor greeted and we just chose a table to sit down looking at the servers for some guidance - eventually got a nod it was order at the counter. Ordered eggs Benedict with bacon and my friend the chicken schnitzel burger - reasonably priced so was excited to eat. Food arrived and although presented very plainly looked good… One bite of the eggs Benedict and I knew something was off. It tasted like some kind of weird liquid cheese… inedible. Got my friend to try it who agreed. Her burger was edible at least. Took my uneaten eggs Benedict to the counter and explained my concern. I was advised she would talk to the chef. I returned to my seat and the server came overs and said something along the lines of “sorry you weren’t happy, can I get you something else.” I said no and she went to walk away. I had to stop her and ask if I was able to get a refund. She said she would speak to the manager. A few minutes later another lady is standing next to me shoving the money in my face lol So unimpressed."
"Great coffee, and the Quiche was really good. Value for money too, got both for 9.70. The cafe had a comforting vibe to it, like the minimalist renovation too. Appreciate the details they put in for the cafe, from the takeaway cup and holder, printed well and nice color code, high quality too."
