For over 30 years, WAAPA has been a beacon of opportunity for students pursuing successful careers in the performing arts and entertainment industries.
At WAAPA, there is never a dull moment. Our academy is a constant hive of activity, offering a packed program of performances each year. Our world-class teaching staff and specialist tutors bring their professional experience on stage and behind the scenes to share their knowledge and skills with our students.
WAAPA boasts an impressive range of production, rehearsal, teaching, and performance facilities, providing the necessary support for our students and academics. In addition to degree and VET courses, we also offer corporate training and short courses across various disciplines.
As the most comprehensive performing arts training institution in Australia, WAAPA offers practical tuition in acting, singing, music, dance, and music theatre through our weekend and holiday workshops. Taught by our staff and industry professionals, these workshops provide invaluable hands-on experience.
We are thrilled to offer Professional Development opportunities for Drama, Music, and Dance teachers. Our state-of-the-art performance and teaching facilities serve as the backdrop for workshops taught by world-renowned staff.
Each year, WAAPA showcases the talents of our students, staff, and special guest artists through an amazing selection of performances. Booking a WAAPA performance is made easy through various channels.

Research and collaboration are key components of WAAPA, with our postgraduate students and staff actively engaged in various performing arts disciplines. From music to acting, dance, production, design, and arts management, our research groups span a wide range of disciplines.

The WAAPA Accent and Dialect collection is a treasure trove of over 300 audio samples from 60 countries of origin, showcasing the richness and diversity of accents and dialects.
We are excited to introduce our brand new Corporate Training program, led by leading artists, practitioners, and educators with real-world experience. This program translates professional performing arts training and advanced techniques into tangible skills for individuals and organizations.
Our commitment to excellence is further reflected in our impressive range of production, rehearsal, teaching, and performance facilities. With eight public performance spaces constantly in use for concerts and performances, we ensure a conducive environment for our students and academics to thrive.
