"Contractors for big companies on new builds. Not recommended AT ALL. Cracked inferior tiles, badly laid, difficult to deal with. Called back constantly during build, issues not fixed. Husband never wants a tiled roof again. Many times it was said during the process that roof tiling is a forgotten art. We hope that quote only applies to this particular company."
"Having tried to have solar panels installed the installer gave up 20 minutes in as the tiles were breaking under foot. Having contacted Harmony they sent a supervisor to collect a sample for testing. No surprise they came back as exceeding the Australian standard. Very quick to blame the solar installers yet all the tiles broke in exactly the same place, yet there is nothing wrong with them. Even the state manager wasn't interested in a solution other than to sell me more tiles. In view that there is clearly a defect you would think that they would perhaps supply replacement to be able to install the solar panels. Perhaps we should all contact a current affair and get them to test them. Brittle defective tiles find an alternative."
"they may look good but the Tiles are too brittle and not fired enough. we have not had a roof with no broken tiles. over 1000 have been replaced so far and they day the guys leave there are still broken tiles everywhere and it is a fight to get someone to come and look at them. we are still waiting for proper roof cover after almost 11 months since the tiles were first on site and living in the house for 2 months."
