"Absolutely disgusting! Old stale sushi being served at 12.00 on a friday. Assuming they just put out the leftovers from yesterday. Rice was hard and chicken sushi looked unsafe to eat. Shameful."

"Arrived with a hungry nine year old at 5:42pm. Advised bluntly that kitchen was closing in 3mins and that no fresh sushi would be made in response to any orders… The place is advertised to close at 7pm. Don’t bother… because they clearly aren’t bothering."

"As I have young toddlers, I chose to sit at the outside tables instead of on the high seats around the sushi train. Super disappointed that waitress wasn't able to take my order at the table but asked me to go and use one of the tablet to order food myself. The tablets are only at the sushi train seats. This is so weird and unfriendly for any parent with young children whom I can't leave them alone at the table by themselves. Food is just standard but way overly priced. Just don't bother..."

"I've been to a lot of sushi trains before, and this definitely is in the lower calibre of restaurants. We waited 7 to 8 minutes to be seated at the sign that said "wait here for best service". Well clearly waiting denoted we were to get no service. So we wandered in ourselves and sat down. We started collecting plates and eating. There is not a massive selection of rolls and sashimi, but what I ate seemed of decent quality. However I am displeased with their plates and signage in regards to the "premium" selections offered. They denote that a black plate is to the value of $14, however these plates are then placed onto a red plate which is a much lesser value. This not only creates confusion for paying customers, but isn't clearly displayed and therfor could be contested for false advertising as per displayed pricing. The couple next to us also noticed this, and grabbed the red plates underneath that corresponded to the premium plates. Whilst there are many places for a quick bite to eat, this is one I would avoid in future whilst at Surfers Paradise. The service was of a low level, and the food whilst tasty, didn't have enough variety."
