"NOT HAPPY!! Must have changed ownership. I have been ordering here for years and used to say it was the best fish and chips around HOWEVER last night ordered my usual order only to get home and find there were less pieces of fish for more $$. So not enough pieces for my family with the same order I have been doing for years!! I hate it when shop owners think consumers are stupid."
"Can't believe I'm writing this after years of supporting this shop but latest meal was just not acceptable once home and opened it up. 2 pieces of fish, one was reasonable size but thin and dry where other was tiny, third of the size of other, just didn't make sense. Chips OK, cornjack good but next time feel I will need to eyeball before it gets wrapped and I take away."
"This is my choice for "good" fish and chips. They are not cheap, but have been consistently high quality. I ordered a family meal and found that to be a huge feed. The pieces of fish seemed a little smaller than normal, but they included extra pieces. The people behind the counter seemed to be a different crew. Have they changed hands? No change in quality either way. I noticed signs that seem to indicate they are now part of a small chain of fish and chip shops. Of interest to me was that another store listed just happened to be my sister's favourite fish and chip shop. She raves about that shop, so maybe there is even more to this consistency of quality I've observed."
