Welcome to Dance Masters International Association (DMIA), located in Byford, Malarkey Road, LOT 3, Australia. Established in 1962, our institution was founded with the aim of supporting the development and growth of professional dancing in Western Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we provide guidance, governance, and support to Ballroom and Theatrical dance studios across the state, ensuring the highest industry standards are maintained.

At DMIA, we work closely with our studio members to develop a comprehensive teaching syllabus and promote regular dance events, including professional judication. Our association offers an excellent syllabi for practical and theory examinations in a variety of dance styles, catering to both amateur and professional dancers. From pageants to competitions and championships, we provide opportunities for Ballroom medallists, competition dancers, and all styles of Theatrical dancing.

All DMIA studio principals are fully qualified and offer a range of fantastic group classes and social dancing for all ages. Our accredited members offer professional dance classes in a wide range of Ballroom and Theatrical styles, accommodating both children and adults. You can find our member studios throughout Perth and in regional WA.

Learn to dance various styles such as Slow Rhythm, Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble, and Salsa at DMIA studios. Additionally, we offer New Vogue Dancing, a uniquely Australian style of sequence Ballroom dancing, which allows you to dance anywhere, with any partner, with ease.

Are you interested in theatrical performance and stage dancing? Our institution provides the fundamental training you need to dance for a live audience. We also offer Hip Hop, Tap dancing, Jazz dancing, and Ballet classes to cater to a wide range of preferences.

As part of our commitment to the dance community, DMIA hosts a series of Ballroom dance competitions in Perth throughout the year. These events bring together students from all DMIA ballroom studios, allowing them to showcase their skills, compete for medals, and gain invaluable floor experience. Our events are designed to be fun and inclusive, welcoming dancers of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds.

In addition to our regular programs, DMIA offers dance programs for West Australian primary and secondary schools. These programs, including Social Partner Dancing or DanceFIT lessons, are hosted by professional dance instructors and align with the WA Arts Curriculum. We can provide onsite classes during teaching hours or at our member studios located throughout Perth metro and regionally from Geraldton to Albany.
