The Tap @ Chapel Farm Estate
About the Business
Welcome to The Tap @ Chapel Farm Estate, a unique establishment located at Middle Swan, Toodyay Road, 231 in Australia. As a bar, restaurant, and point of interest, we offer a one-of-a-kind experience that combines delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a rich historical background.
Originally established as Chapel Farm in 1905, this location served as a working farm for over 90 years. In 2000, we acquired the property and decided to honor the Swan Valley and its religious history by creating a venue that pays homage to its past. We carefully handcrafted our establishment, incorporating elements that reflect the area's tumultuous past.
In 2021, we expanded our family by acquiring Jane Brook Estate and its vineyards from the Atkinson family. This addition allows us to offer a wider range of products and experiences to our valued guests. We take pride in supporting local businesses and hardworking families, and our partnership with Jane Brook Estate is a testament to this commitment.
At The Tap @ Chapel Farm Estate, every detail has a story. From the carefully sourced ingredients for our food and drinks to the unique decor that adorns our venue, there is a narrative behind everything we offer. We believe that these stories add depth and meaning to your dining experience, making it truly unforgettable.

"Just been to the Tap for lunch and I have to say it was one of the worst meals we have ever had we ordered 5 sharing plates from the Tapas menu every dish was served cold the croquettes that came out first we’re warm and crispy on the outside the inside was stone cold we sent that dish back and the girl apologised the four other plates came out soon after all cold very disappointing considering the money we paid, we have been to the Tap many times previously and have always had a great meal there we haven’t been for a while since the menu has been changed today we thought we would go for a nice drive and try the newer menu not worth the hours drive there and the meal that was served. Very disappointing experience."
"Pizza was nice, wait was quite long and it wasn't exactly busy. Friendly staff though."
"Went on a Saturday for early lunch. We were sat inside - we tried to see if we could sit outside but apparently they didn’t have room due to the wine tours they had coming that day - but it ended up being fine as we preferred being in a more quiet spot anyway. The food was beautiful, there wasn’t really any that we didn’t like from what we ordered. The only critique on the food would be that the pork belly definitely needed more salt. Other than that, dessert was also yummy - definitely recommend the salted caramel panna cotta. The other thing we noted was the service could’ve been better.. It was a little slow but a lot of places have been understaffed lately so I just thought it might be for that reason."
"Such a quirky, beautiful place well worth a visit. I'll be visiting whenever I can! The sticky date pudding is so bloody yummy (and for a gluten free desert it's well worth indulging!)"
"Great place and enjoyed a Sunday lunch. 3/4 of our dishes came at once with the last coming after all the rest were cleared. Most dishes were great, the clay pot bread with anchovies was half white anchovies which where great and the other half was basic jar anchovies. Sweet corn fritters were really good. Long island iced teas were also notable! Great menu, extensive drinks menu too. Was not a fan of the Chapel Farm Ginger Beer which was unable to be touched after 2 sips, would stick with the Matso's on tap in future for ginger beer."
