About the Business
Welcome to Gwynne Park Education Support Centre, an Independent Public Primary School located in Armadale, Tijuana Road, 11. Our institution is a point of interest and a school that specializes in providing individualized programs for children in Kindergarten to year 6 with intellectual disability, physical disability, autism spectrum disorder with identified high educational need, and sensory impairment.
At Gwynne Park Education Support Centre, we believe in recognizing the uniqueness and potential of every child. Our dedicated team excels in supporting each child's individual learning pathway, from their first time entering school to successful transitions beyond. We have a strong focus on developing resilience, achievement, and independence in each of our students, and we work closely with parents and families to achieve these goals.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will not be a coffee van at the upcoming sports carnival on Fridays. However, a coffee van will be available to purchase coffees at the main entrance before the carnival and until the games commence at 11.25am. Additionally, Shane Guthrie, a Local Area Coordinator from APM and the newest GPESC School Board member, will be present to discuss NDIS options with families. Phillip Daniel, from Complex High Care Disability Services and Chair of GPESC School Board, will also be available throughout the carnival to meet and greet families.
The sports carnival schedule is as follows:
- 11:25 – 11:35: Welcome and information for the day (5 minutes)
- 11:35 – 11:50: Tug o’ War (5 matches) (15 minutes)
- 11:50 - 12:05: First 3 rotations (4 minutes each, 1 minute rotate)
- 12:10 – 12:25: Last 3 rotations (4 minutes each, 1 minute rotate)
- 12:55 – 13:00: Transition to Junior playground (5 minutes)
- 13:00 – 13:30: Lunch in Junior playground (30 minutes)
Parents are welcome to take their students home at the end of the carnival, but they are asked to sign them out prior to departure. Bus services will continue as normal, and remaining students will be cared for until regular school finishes.
Please note that there will be a public holiday on Thursday 22 September as a national day of mourning for the late Queen Elizabeth II. As a result, all schools, including ours, will be closed on this day. We will resume for the last day of term on Friday 23rd September.
Lastly, we would like to inform you that our Book Week dress up and Parade has been rescheduled to 9.10am this Thursday morning, the 18th of August, due to rain forecasted for Wednesday. Thank you for your understanding.
We look forward to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for your child at Gwynne Park Education Support Centre.
