About Parkside Community Child Care Centre
Welcome to Parkside Community Child Care Centre and Early Learning Centre, located in the heart of the Parkside community in Australia. Situated at 110 Young Street, our establishment is a point of interest for families seeking high-quality childcare services.
At Parkside Community Child Care Centre, we are proud to acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional custodians of the lands and waters of the Adelaide region, the Kaurna people. We recognize and respect their cultural, spiritual, physical, and emotional connection with their land, waters, and community. We also understand the significance of their cultural and heritage beliefs in the present day.
Our not-for-profit community-based childcare service is dedicated to providing exceptional care for children aged 6 weeks to school age. With a small capacity of 52 children per day, we prioritize creating a caring and nurturing environment that children will enjoy attending. Our team of educators and management are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of each child in our care.
In addition to our child care centre, we also offer an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) service located at Parkside Primary School. This service provides before and after school care, as well as a vacation care program, catering to children aged 4 to 14 years. Our OSHC program is designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for children outside of regular school hours.
Parkside Community Child Care Centre and Early Learning Centre is governed by a management committee comprised of parent representatives. With a rich history dating back to 1976, our association has been delivering trusted and high-quality child care services to the Parkside community for decades.

Reviews of Parkside Community Child Care Centre
"If you are looking for a child care centre that looks schmick, this isn't for you. If you are looking for a centre with staff that will love your kids and take a genuine interest in promoting their well-being and development, then you can't go wrong with Parkside Community Child Care Centre. As a community child care centre, the focus at this centre is on investing in your children rather than impressing you with a fancy, modern façade. I would single out the Kindergarten room teacher, Debby, as an amazingly positive influence on both of my sons (and me and the wife as parents) and think that any child who attends this child care will have a brilliant time. You can always judge the culture of an organisation by looking at the tenure of its staff and there are many educators who have been at PCCC for many, many years. I can't recommend this place enough."
"My little one started at Parkside at about 8 months old in the baby room through to the Kindy Room - so a few years! So many precious and important things have happened for him at Parkside - lots of learning and laughter. It is the sort of place where staff really care and build up enduring bonds with the children, as well as helping to equip them for life and school. One thing that has been extra good is the continuity of staff over many years, so they really build up a sense of family and familiarity with the little ones, seeing them grow from room to room but also keeping contact with educators from their earlier rooms (eg baby room) during the shared playtimes where the little and bigger kids come together. The Kindy teacher has been great for learning and social development but there are a lot of people who have played special roles over the years. Also, the cook is great!"
"This centre is a home away from home for my children. They have built amazing bonds with the staff. I love walking into the room and they don't notice I am there because they are so busy in what they are doing. The care and nurturing my baby receives is second to none. The babies room team is phenomenal. The toddler team has learned all of my toddlers special words and he feels so at home. My eldest is transitioning to the kindy room and he is coming home talking about his new learning every day."
"My two youngest children attend in the babies and Toddler room I couldn't speak higher of the level of care and attention my boys have had transitioning into the centre since my wife and I have returned to work."
"Not recommended! The staff, particularly senior/ admin are extremely rude and insensitive. They are also incompetent and enrolled my child as 3 different people. My child care subsidy was attached to one of those enrolments but not the one we were using. After being told to contact Centrelink to adjust their data entry error I was told they needed to delete the other profiles and re-enter everything for the benefits to be applied. During this period I received an inconciderate email demanding $3000 be paid as no other arrangement had been made which was not the case. They were fully aware of the situation and I replied with the facts. They didn’t bother sending a reply to my email. After 3 months my benefits were applied finally. My child had 2 incident reports a month for accidents that occurred in their care for a 5 month period. She was enrolled only 2-3 days a week. They neglected to advise of all incidents and my child would come home with injuries unidentified or ignored by the staff. My child was scratched and bleeding in 3 different spots and told me her teacher was going to get a bandaid. When I spoke to them the next day no one knew anything about the incident and the deep scratches. The staff were playing games with me and my separated husband and in a few instances came across to him that I was an incompetent mother. Luckily we have a good relationship and he could tell me that they were giving him this indication. I left her hat at home on one occasion. The next day the rudest of the staff (the old round redhead) was passing me in the street after drop off and said “did you bring her hat today?” In the most menacing tone. They also allowed a male parent watch my child go to the toilet! He was lingering in the door way when I arrived. There were no teachers with her at the time! Recently I let them know it was her last day and gave them feedback around why. I was horrified to find my child was hit in the head with a shovel (incident recorded) and had a badly grazed knee (incident not recorded) her clothes were on backwards and inside out, her socks were gone? It’s was almost like they just stopped looking after her to punish me for giving them notice of disconnecting care there. Not happy! The vibe in this place alone is enough to put you off. I strongly suggest you find your family a different centre as my child has actually gone backwards in her development after sending her here. I wish I sent her anywhere but here. Worst child care centre in ADELAIDE!"
