Charles Paterson Park
About the Business
Welcome to Charles Paterson Park, a stunning establishment located at Burswood, Craig Street, 54 in Australia. As a park, point of interest, and tourist attraction, Charles Paterson Park offers a wealth of natural beauty and recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages.
One of the highlights of the park is the Vic Park Markets, which are run by the Rotary Club of Victoria Park in collaboration with the Rotary Club of South Perth Burswood. Supported by the Town of Victoria Park, these vibrant markets take place every Sunday morning from 8am to 12pm. Here, you can explore a diverse range of stalls offering local produce, crafts, and unique finds.
Additionally, the park is proud to host Fusion's Mobile Youth Hub on Thursdays during the school term. This initiative provides a safe and engaging space for young people to come together, participate in activities, and connect with their community.
The Town of Victoria Park is committed to sustainability and has recently commenced the resurfacing of Ceres Lane using environmentally friendly, 100% recycled asphalt. This project showcases the town's dedication to creating a greener and more sustainable environment.
In partnership with Western Power, the largest underground power project has been completed for St James, East Victoria Park, and Bentley. The neighboring local governments have worked closely with Western Power since 2020 to bring this project to life, ensuring equitable financial contributions from ratepayers regardless of their local government area.
Furthermore, the council of Canning, Gosnells, and Victoria Park have collaborated to reduce red tape for mobile food businesses. The introduction of the Simplified Trading Partnership Permit allows vendors to obtain one permit to trade at approved events in all three local government areas, promoting ease of business and supporting local entrepreneurs.
The Strategic Community Plan 2022-2032 serves as the guiding document for the town's long-term vision, aspirations, and priorities. With a central vision of creating a dynamic place for everyone, the town is dedicated to continually improving its facilities and public spaces. You can learn more about the ongoing projects and initiatives on our website.
The Town of Victoria Park is also focused on shaping the future development of the community through the preparation of a new draft Local Planning Scheme No. 2 (LPS2). This scheme will replace the existing Town Planning Scheme No. 1 (TPS1) and shape how land within the town is developed, ensuring sustainable growth and meeting the needs of the diverse community.
Located at 99 Shepperton Road, Victoria Park, Western Australia, our administration building is a central hub for information and services. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Whadjuk Noongars from the Noongar nation of Australia, and pay respect to their past, present, and emerging leaders.
Please note that this website may contain images, voices, and videos of deceased persons, which may cause sadness or distress for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We strive to create an inclusive and respectful online environment for all visitors.
Come and experience the beauty and vibrancy of Charles Paterson Park, where nature, community, and culture come together in perfect harmony.

"The great thing about Charles Paterson Park is over summer it houses the Burswood outside cinema. I went on a clear warm summer Friday night and saw a recently released film with friends. It's best prepaid you can find information on the net. Things to know to fully enjoy this experience. * Bring a blanket and pillow * By all means bring food though! * Food delivery from favourite pizza Or other fast food is permitted prior to film start there is a candy Store as well as liquor outlet on site as well as a hotdog hut! * Sometimes the mosquitoes can be out in force so bring repallant or you can find a free squirt of Mozzy repallant at the cinemas entrance. * Last but not least bean bags are available on site to rent for duration cinema is open. So then sit back relax and enjoy an evening of entertainment."
"Fairly large park that connects to G.O. Edwards, Burswood and McCallum park through walkways. It had a nice open area that leads to the road. There is a walkway along the river that leads to and around the stadium. There is also a playground and lots of little things to look at like the hopscotch activity. Keep a look out for small green signs that give info about the statues in the area."
