Reviews of Calcutta Sweets & Savouries
"I just had samosas from them.. I always had good one's but the ones I had last time were super cold even though I asked the lady if she can warm them up for me. Today I had a takeaway, and oh God, the samosas were rock hard, overcooked. Very disappointing"
"Good food but hit and miss. Plus who close the shop at 8pm on a weekends? Not everyone can get dinner by 8. The staff will not take orders at 7.45pm. The owner needs to sort this out to make sure he gets good business . Put more effort to bring income and be successful"
"Eaten here a few times with family. Fantastic flavours and textures, although quite different than the typical westernised versions, which was good for me! They are also able to accomodate my veganism for the dosa's, which are delicious!"
"Located near to Albny highway and easily accessible. Atmosphere is good, and entrance is a public walkthrough to the mall. Food: variety of options, but can do better in taste department. Pricing is moderate but considering the taste, pricing can be reduced a little bit. Quality of food is okay, and sweets aren't that worth the money. Had rasagulla, but turned out all you can feel is sugar syrup instead of actual rasagulla. :( But we have fried (egg) rice available here, which is a huge plus point, which normally hard to find in Indian restaurant nowadays."
"Ordered chicken samosa , kathi roll, fried chicken noodles , idli vada, sweets and falooda. Chicken samosa and noodles was tasty. Kathi roll was good. Sweets were fresh , tasty but pricey. Falooda was okay needed more flavour. Idli vada was the biggest let down. Vada was hard and tough as if it was microwaved for too long . Idli was bit sour."
