About the Business
Welcome to Riverside Gardens, a stunning park and tourist attraction located in the heart of Bayswater, Australia. As an establishment that prides itself on providing a memorable experience for visitors of all ages, Riverside Gardens offers a unique blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and community engagement.
Situated on King William Street, Riverside Gardens is part of the City of Bayswater's extensive network of over 100 play spaces within its parks and reserves. These play spaces feature a wide range of equipment, including swings, slides, combination units, and spring rides, ensuring that children and families have plenty of options for fun and adventure.
The City of Bayswater recently updated its Play Space Strategy, a comprehensive plan that guides the planning, design, and implementation of play spaces across the city. This strategy takes into account the surrounding environment and existing play spaces in the area, aiming to increase the variety of play opportunities in local areas. The City actively seeks community input into annual play space redevelopments, ensuring that the needs and preferences of residents are taken into consideration.
Safety is of utmost importance at Riverside Gardens, and the City of Bayswater ensures that all play equipment meets Australian Standards for safety. An independent audit is commissioned at least once every three years to assess the age and condition of the equipment, providing recommendations for replacement. The City also conducts regular inspections and maintenance to ensure that the parks and reserves are safe for the community.
In addition to its recreational offerings, Riverside Gardens also serves as a point of interest for tourists and visitors. With its picturesque surroundings, well-maintained facilities, and welcoming atmosphere, it is a destination that showcases the beauty and charm of Bayswater.
Please note that the City Maps Gallery will be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance from Friday, June 16 until Sunday, June 18, 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

"Nice park, great for dogs (there will be many dogs after work usually). Just across the river from Ascot, there is exercise equipment, bike paths and plenty of picnic shelters."
"The park is huge there’s a beach area for the dog, fishing area for the people, birds sanctuary and fence area for the dogs, cycling path and walking paths. There’s plenty of parking areas. Mostly welcome for the friendly and pet owners"
"This park is great for kids and has areas for dogs. I enjoyed talking by the river and along a creek. It has a great open play area to kick a ball. Often food truck and ice cream truck are around. It has several shelters and bbq near by. My kids enjoyed playing in the trees and the play area. There are toilets here too."
"Beautiful parks and conservation areas, the"Flip it cafe" is a wonderful place for families to relax by the river whilst enjoying the great coffee's and light lunch supplied by friendly staff. There are toilets and BBQ facilities all around the parks and a beautiful conservation reserve to the west and east. This is also a dog friendly park with a dog swimming beach. Worth a look, I regularly walk here."
"Riverside Gardens is a great place to visit as it is family friendly and dog friendly. There is an off lead area for dogs and also an on lead area to cater for all dog personalities. There are ample BBQ and picnic facilities as well as toilets available. The River side 'beach' is nice and sandy for kids and dogs to play along. One if the nicest dog friendly River spots we've come across in Perth."
