Reviews
"Great Indonesian food. We have been here a number of times and usually order the telur balado, ayam bakar kecap, and nasi goreng ayam - have never been disappointed with these, the flavour delivers. Portions are a little on the smaller side but still reasonable as the food is consistent. Restaurant itself has limited seating, we normally order takeaway. I am Indonesian myself and agree with previous review - I do prefer Manise over Batavia Corner. Thank you Manise Cafe :)"
"Restaurant at Northbridge selling authentic Indonesian cuisine. Food is amazing but seats are limited. The soup and prawn crackers are fresh and yummy."
"Ordered several dishes expecting to be similar serving size as most standard Asian restaurants. When dishes arrived at the table, oh boy, what an extreme joke… each dish is only about a quarter portion size of most standard Asian restaurant servings. Beef ribs with peanut sauce (Kondro Bakar $23) had only FOUR TINY pieces of super small short ribs with one big chunk of pure fat. Our soup with the beef ribs never got served. Lalapan Komplit $11 was served with approx 1/12 of shredded cabbage with 4 thin slices of cucumber and tomato, extra $3.50 for a tiny SINGLE piece of tofu! Ikan Goreng (fried fish) $21.50 for a very small sized fish with tiny bit of shredded cabbage and some tomato chilli sauce. $84 for the two of us. Although taste ain’t too bad but nothing authentic and definitely not worth the prices! Won’t be returning for sure."
"I had ayam geprek with steamed rice and fried tofu, and teh tarik to wash it down. The chicken was tender but lacks flavour. Some parts of the batter on the chicken were still uncooked. The geprek sambal was intense. It may have overwhelmed the flavours of other dishes. The owner/cashier/waitress could have been a little smiley. The place itself was very cosy. Verdict? For the price I paid for the food, it was not great."
"Awsome, felt like home, great family owned & run. Food was fresh and Authentic. Highly recommended if you love your Indonesian food."
