"I used Dogtainers as they were referred to me by Tailwind Global pets LAX. I had a horrible experience with Dogtainers, both exporting and importing my cat. I would not recommend them to others. I was provided incorrect information with regards to titre tests and rabies vaccines on the way out of Aus. I received faulty photos of my cat en route to Vietnam, when he was supposed to be en route to LAX etc I had booked the door to door service when my cat arrived back in Adelaide airport. No one phoned me with updates and my cat never returned home at the appointed time. The cat had waited wet, soiled and cold in his crate with no food for over 2 hrs at the airport before I finally managed to get hold of people at Dogtainers. I spoke to two different people who gave me two completely different and contradicting stories. The final "solution" being that my cat would be delivered to me in a further 2 hours. At this point I was furious and went to go get my pet from the airport myself. They said they would refund me for the door to door service, and to explain the lack of communication, faulty information and reasons behind my cat not being collected from the airport, but of course that hasn't happened yet...."

"Don’t use this service if you love your puppy, Worst service ever I experienced. My 2 1/2 months puppy ended up in the in a Crate more than 7 hours without any food or any comfortable blanket or anything underneath the crate, they just only given water and it’s look so dirty, once I picked up my puppy he was so wet with water and he was dirty, he was so stressed and he was in a bad condition after 6 hours sitting inside the crate. Would not recommend this service to anyone for their pet transportation."

"Given one star as I cant give them -10. Absoluteley awful experience. Once you pay their quote, that's it. Poor communications, website has incorrect information on it. After getting a contact thru social media, local manager told me that there is no record of any dogs due to arrive today. Just fortunate that our sender helped us out, and yes our dog did arrive today. Never even will use this company again!"

"The biggest upside is dogtainers answer the phone and quote on the spot. We don’t always have time to email 10 companies or apply online. But one quote was never processed. My surname was spelled incorrectly on another. They don’t respond quickly to emails, and when they don’t answer the phone, voicemails don’t get returned. They should tell you to call back soon instead of waiting all day for something that was never gonna happen. I called to request they action my recipients quote request, I’d locked in a Saturday morning flight. They told the recipient they’d get a Tuesday flight. Another quote I was told to update with recipient phone number. No reply to the email. I mentioned it on a phonecall, the lady that did the quote wasn’t in that day (big deal). I asked on the phone that the information I submitted be attached to the file and was told they would. But the pup arrived interstate at 7:30 Melbourne time, 10pm melb time staff called me to ask if I was picking the puppy up. I’m the sender, not the recipient. The recipient details were never stored and nobody bothered to attempt contact until 10pm at night. So the pup was picked up somewhere between 10:30 and 11:30pm. After being loaded at 3:30…. It’s a one hour flight. Such an incredible amount of room left for improvement. If I have time to organise things in future it’s unlikely that I’d use dog tainers, and this review is essentially what I’d tell anyone that wanted pet transport. Very disorganised."

"I would not hesitate in recommending Dogtainers to transport your pets interstate. They recently transported our labrador puppy from Hobart to Melbourne and back again for tricky surgery at Southpaws in Moorabin. They collected our puppy on time and kept us informed every step of the way. The costs were fair and the staff were great to deal with. A great service 5 stars."
