"Hello my name is Abby I am 13 years old and when I first met Karen I was very unwell with cushings. I am so thankful my Mum took me to Karen for her treatments. I had zero energy, very uncomfortable very enlarged belly, vomiting at times, loose bowel actions, muscle loss and weakness, large amounts of hair loss and bleeding skin lesions. After Karen's kind gentle healing care, compassion, acupuncture and special herbal remedies all these nasty symptoms have gone. Over 5 months regular treatments I now have my energy back and loving life again. Even my hair is growing back again and the darker colour it was when I was a puppy! Mum and I so highly recommend lovely kind Dr Karen to try and help heal illness complaints and improve quality of life. THANK YOU KAREN we are eternally grateful for all your care, knowledge and gentle kindness. Abby and Jenny XXX"
"My dog has skin allergies and itching for a long time. He was suffering from all the itching with his skin being red and sometimes bleeding. He had temporary relief from cortisone injections. I went to Dr Karen for some other treatment ideas and plans. My dog was put on a food diet and with his treatment and herbal medicine has recovered so much! His itching is gone and skin is back to normal. He is back to his happy self.Thank you so much Dr Karen."
"We were fortunate to meet Dr. Karen Tan who helped our 6 year old Labrador recover from his injury. Not only Karen helped with his hips and back legs problem but she has also educated us about overall health of our dog who was ageing prematurely as a result of his diet and liver issues, we knew nothing about. Within one month of adjusting his diet, using Chinese herbal supplements and acupuncture there was a significant positive change in the dog’s energy level, appearance and the shape of his eyes, in particular. Thank you so much."
"I adopted my cat Ivy through the vet clinic at which I work after she came in as a stray just over 2 years ago. She was flea bitten, underweight, coccidia infected and malnourished when she first came in but after weeks of care, she became a normal, healthy kitten. From about 10 months of age, she has had ongoing health issues and approximately 8 months ago she was finally diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Her medicine regime was constantly being adjusted to try and manage her condition but every 3-4 weeks she would flare up. She would not eat the prescription diet, she was weak, losing weight, constantly constipated or suffering diarrhoea. Every time I trialled a new diet she would flare up in agony – it didn’t seem to matter what I fed her. She is such a young cat; it was heartbreaking seeing my once loving and playful kitten so lethargic and in so much pain. She was on a cocktail of drugs including Prednisolone, Temgesic, Cerenia, Osmolax, microlax, lactulose, Neurontin, and she would not eat. On the 15th of March she had her most recent and worst flare. She was at her lowest weight of 2.8kg, was severely dehydrated, lethargic, almost collapsing, had low potassium and was dangerously ill – she was lucky to be alive. I was heartbroken and was considering euthanasia as it just wasn’t fair anymore. Through a friend of mine I was recommended to trial Karen’s vet practice as an alternative approach to Ivy’s chronic illness. Just 1 week after treatment, Ivy’s whole demeanour changed, and my family were given hope that Ivy might be able to lead a relatively normal life. After 2 months of acupuncture, a homemade diet and Chinese Herbs the improvement has been astonishing. She is bright, she is HUNGRY, she has gained weight (back to 3.5kg) she is playing again, the ginger colour in her coat is so bright, and her eyes are open and just the brightest blue. We have our loving baby girl back. Through Karen I have not used any of Ivy’s conventional medications or her laxatives and have slowly been able to wean Ivy completely off her prednisolone. Ivy absolutely loves Karen and is so calm and soothed during her acupuncture sessions! At the end of the session she doesn't want to leave and snuggles her face into the bed! My heart is full of so much relief and joy to see her behaving as a normal cat again. Karen has impacted our lives in a way I never thought possible, and I am so glad that my 2-and-a-half-year-old cat has the chance to live a longer, pain-free life. I would recommend this service to anyone in a similar position."
"We are very appreciative of what Karen did for our dog Max. We didn’t think he would make his 14th birthday when in November 2019 he was unable to move his rear legs and therefore could no longer walk. We took him to two vets and were told to think about euthanasia. We were not ready to give up just yet and knew Max wasn’t ready too. We then heard about what Karen does and decided to give the holistic approach a go! Karen gave Max three acupuncture sessions and traditional Chinese herbal medicines. Within a few weeks he was making massive improvements. By December 2019, he was up walking. It is now March 2020 and Max has just turned 14 years old and he can even run! Please see Karen if you aren’t ready to give up on your pet, she is very passionate about helping you and your pet! Before and after photos of Max attached :)"
