Spectrum Swim Support
About the Business
Welcome to Spectrum Swim Support, located at Noarlunga Centre on Seaman Road. We are an establishment that focuses on health and is considered a point of interest and school. If you are passionate about making a difference in drowning statistics and want to support a great cause, we would be forever grateful for your support.
At Spectrum Swim Support, we are proud to be world leaders in inclusive education for those who are neurodiverse or have specific learning needs. As part of our commitment to inclusivity, we have partnered with AUTISM SWIM, who are also world leaders in inclusive aquatics for individuals with neurodiverse conditions or specific learning needs.
One of the ways we promote inclusivity is by certifying swim centers, instructors, therapists, and other aquatic professionals as 'Autism Swim Approved'. This certification ensures that they have the necessary expertise to provide a safe and inclusive environment for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other abilities.
Parents who choose Spectrum Swim Support benefit from expert resources, training, workshops, individualized programs, and strategies specifically designed to prevent wandering and drowning incidents. We also provide an educational app called 'Being safe around the water' to further enhance water safety knowledge for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other abilities.
Through our partnership with Autism Swim, we aim to raise awareness among the general public about their role in keeping vulnerable population groups safe and happy. By supporting us, you contribute to a more inclusive society where everyone can enjoy the water safely.
We are proud to offer an incredible resource with ongoing support and learning aids for Swim Teachers. Many of our teachers have expressed their gratitude for the support and knowledge they receive from us. They feel that they are never alone in facing any problem or hurdle, as we are always there to assist them.
One of our teachers shared their experience after completing the swim instructor course, saying that it transformed the way they approach all of their swim lessons and students. They appreciated the convenience of being able to complete the initial training online and at their own pace. Our teachers also appreciate the monthly new and refresher material that helps them stay up-to-date with their training. Whenever they have a query or need extra support, Autism Swim is there for them.
The wandering and drowning statistics for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder are alarming, and we are proud to be part of the Autism Swim community working towards making a change.
We have received heartwarming feedback from families who have benefited from our programs. One family expressed their gratitude for the water safety, confidence, and strength that we have taught their child with ASD. Another participant highly recommended attending our course, as it provided a wealth of information that can be easily applied to clients with Autism.
We are dedicated to creating dream come true experiences for families and individuals with ASD. By joining our programs, participants have overcome their fears and gained a new level of confidence in the water. We welcome everyone to be part of our future programs.
It is important to note that individuals on the autism spectrum are significantly more likely to experience drowning incidents compared to those without ASD. Many parents in our community have left other aquatic services because they felt that their child's needs were not understood or met.
We have received overwhelming feedback from our course participants, who have found the new knowledge and skills gained from our courses to be invaluable. These skills can be applied not only to ASD students but to all students. Teachers have seen remarkable progress in their students' swimming abilities after implementing the strategies learned from us.
Join us at Spectrum Swim Support and be part of our mission to create a safer and more inclusive aquatic environment for individuals with neurodiverse conditions and specific learning needs. Your support can make a significant difference in changing the drowning statistics and improving the lives of individuals with ASD.
