About the Business
Welcome to Julie Le Franc, an establishment located at 95 Nerang Street in Southport, Australia. Our institution focuses on providing psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychology services on the Gold Coast. Our team is led by Julie Le Franc, a highly qualified professional with a range of qualifications including J.P. (Qual)., MA Psychoanalytic, (MAPS), PostGradDipPsych., BAPsych., BMin., PostGrad Nutritional & Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner (NLP), and a Diploma in Marriage and Family Therapy.
At Julie Le Franc, we specialize in neuro-psychotherapy, a unique approach that delves into the neural processes underlying human responses. This approach allows us to address a variety of conditions and concerns, such as attention deficit disorder (ADD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). While these conditions may not be visible externally, they can significantly impact an individual's life.
Our services also extend to helping individuals with personality disorders, which are characterized by socially abnormal feelings and behaviors. We understand the challenges these disorders can present and provide support and guidance to help individuals navigate through them.
Trauma is another area we specialize in. Whether it's trauma resulting from sexual assault, war, natural disasters, child abuse, accidents, exploitation, betrayal, life-threatening illness, or the loss of a partner or child, we are here to offer therapeutic support and healing.
Our expertise also extends to autism, a disorder of neural development. Research has shown an overlap between ADHD and autism, and we are equipped to provide comprehensive care and assistance to individuals and families affected by these conditions.
We understand that the holiday season can be a challenging time for many, with stress and depression often heightened. Our team is here to provide support and help individuals navigate through these difficulties, as we prioritize mental health and well-being.
Adult ADD, in particular, can have a profound impact on one's life. We work with individuals dealing with this condition to help them overcome challenges and build fulfilling lives.
Stress is a common issue in today's fast-paced world. The word itself comes from the Latin "string ere," meaning to draw tight or compress. With the increasing demands of family, work, leisure, information, technology, and the pressures of life, it's important to recognize and address the impact of stress on our overall well-being. We provide assistance in managing stress and finding healthy coping mechanisms.
Anxiety is another area we focus on. As the complexities of modern life continue to escalate, many individuals find themselves vulnerable to anxiety. We offer support and strategies to manage anxiety and regain a sense of balance and peace.
At Julie Le Franc, we believe that understanding the nature and qualities that define a person's personality is crucial. We encourage individuals to explore and reflect on their behavior and qualities to gain self-awareness and personal growth.
If you are seeking professional psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychology services on the Gold Coast, Julie Le Franc is here to support you. Contact us today to schedule an appointment and begin your journey towards healing and well-being.

"I started sessions with Julie 16 years ago for a number of years. She was the first person that (after 26 years of no one being able to figure out why I’m suffering), Julie did. Julie figured out I had inattentive ADHD after many sessions together; and then also helped me with my grief of caring for and eventually losing my fiancé of 11 years to cancer at the age of 28. She changed my life. At first I didn’t believe that I had ADHD because back then with how little was known by the general public, and because of how society balked at the diagnosis in an adult, and the stigma it carried; just like them, I was so un-educated. Fast forward to now, at the age of 41, and after a failed 6 year relationship with my best friend who said “you’re a good person, but I just can’t anymore”, I’m medicated and my life is better. We’re not back together but I know I’m okay. I’ve got to do some CBT and additional executive functioning things but it makes sense. I’m not broken. I just wish I believed Julie sooner. Regardless, if it wasn’t for Julie, I’d be a wreck. I just hope she see’s this as I stopped seeing her 13 years ago because I thought I was okay. Thank you Julie. You’re an Angel. So much gratitude. Jesse :)"
"Dearest Julie, I can not thank you enough! You changed my life, both myself & daughter are eternally grateful! Both diagnosed ADHD, & with your help, lives have changed where no one else could previously identify!. I have since recovered from my cancer diagnosis, (my previous & last conversation with you) & moving forward, now have my own little business where I have made use of my creativity, artistic strengths! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart! :)) Kind Regards, Dimity McC- Robina 7 day Medical Centre."
"After many years of trying to cope with issues relating to anxiety, depression and work place stress, I finally decided that enough was enough and I truly needed professional help. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to Julie. She is patient, empathetic and utterly compassionate. Julie has given me many constructive coping skills that have now improved all aspects of my life. If you are considering therapy for the first time or you need a different professional perspective, I can 100 percent recommend Julie. You have nothing to lose and plenty to gain. Thank you."
"Julie is not good, or even half good. I had just come out of a serious trauma and the advice she gave me was to exercise... She had nothing valuable to say. I went for my second session, thinking maybe I was just too upset the first time. Nope, she had to pour over her notes furiously - in session - to re familiarise herself with everything I told her a week prior. Oddly spoke to a colleague at work, told them I saw Julie, my colleague told me their partner went to Julie and she is not good. So needless to say, I cancelled my sessions with her. Unfortunately, this lead to further repressing the trauma and not seeking further help. Years down the line, I see a psychologist who remembers every thing I say, and never takes a single note in session. Always prepared and actually capable of helping to unpack and reframe, plus actually forming a bond that you need with a therapist to build trust. Sorry Julie, nothing personal. But yikes! Therapists can affect people's lives in big ways."
"Julie is exceptional in her field. I have frequented psychologists on and off over the years and I happily drive about an hour just to have a session with Julie. Mind you she is most considerate about your schedule and more than flexible enough to make it as easy for you as possible; she's just great! Julie comes across as a very peaceful person with a very practical approach and to me, she also has a kind of sixth sense. She's very present...right there with you...devoid of any of her own agendas, and her presence and few but profound words can be illuminating as you come to your own realizations. Believe it or not, not all psychologists are as good as that. Julie really creates a space where there's only you...and the shift you feel is quite organic. Well that's been my experience anyway, starting with my sessions in her rooms and then evolving long after the sessions are over - quite incredible. I have made some terrific inroads on two separate occasions in the past year or so with each series of sessions after a terrible ordeal as a carer. Don't waste your time and money with a therapist you're not satisfied with. I have seen this put people off therapy. This is not the way you should feel. Julie is totally professional, highly and broadly qualified (browse thru her website) and very effective with the great work she does. She's a gorgeous person too, just gorgeous! Go to Julie...you won't regret it!"
