"The worst vet I’ve ever had the displeasure to deal with and will ‘never’ use again !! I took my cat ‘Bandit’ to them with a urinary blockage and after 3 days and $4500 I was able to bring him home but within 15 hours of being released I needed to run him to his usual vet suffering the same thing that I took him to ‘Vetwest’ 4 days earlier !! $4500 for a 15 hour release ?? ‘Bandit’ had constant bloody urine going by their vet and going by ‘WAVES’ a kinked and incorrectly place catheter that was not acted upon ?! They couldn’t tell me why the blockage occurred and when on antibiotics during his stay I was told they were stopped when he was was still at ‘Vetwest’ before release and then I’m contacted 3 days after release to tell me that my cat should be on antibiotics and they had them there waiting, what a joke !! When I contacted them in regards to my disappointment and what happened with my cat after release I was ‘amazed’ that they just brushed it off and told me the service given will be reviewed to see if anything could have been done better which of course it was found everything was done correctly but can’t provide anything in regards to the ‘review’ on paper ?! It’s simply all about the money and nothing else !! ‘Swan Veterinarian Service’ had my cat for three days as with ‘Vetwest’ and cost me $750 and told me why he had re-blocked which ‘Vetwest’ were unable ?! My cat had a relapse approximately 4 weeks later which cost me $1000 then needed corrective surgery and the outlay was $1200 !? 2 three day stays and the corrective surgery cost cost me a total of $2950, how can ‘Vetwest’ justify $4500 for a single 3 day stay ?? The only reason I used ‘Vetwest’ was it was the only veterinary service I could find open on a Sunday or I would have given them a miss in the first place and saved myself $4500 !? ‘AVOID AT ALL COST’ !! Receiving no reply after my review was posted just reinforces my belief that ‘Vetwest’ is in it for the money and the care given is run by the a, b and c on their invoice !! Not only are their charges outrageous but the care given is very substandard !! To release a cat with constant bloody urine along with having had an incorrectly placed and a kinked catheter is just unfathomable !! I’m considering a complaint to the ‘Veterinary Control Board of WA’ in regards to their practise and ‘Commerce WA’ in regards to their over the top fees !! HOW CAN YOU JUSTIFY CHARGING $4500 FOR THREE DAYS CARE THAT RESULTED TO NOTHING HAS GOT ME BEAT !?"
"Have used them now on a few occasions prior to changing vets for my diabetic Rotweiller. My disappointment comes from their high prices. $124.00 for a 10ml vial of Caninsulin? I was buying it prior from Baldivis vets for $85.00. When I asked why it was so high I was advised that this was the price and they could do nothing about it. I’ve since changed to Swan vets (5 mins down the road) and pay only $70.00 per vial. They also only change $90 to do his blood glucose curve compared to the $200 you guys charged me before I swapped vets. Not sure why some business try to capitalise on other people’s misfortune."
"Prescribed large pills for a tiny cat. We had to break them which made them jagged and painful for her to swallow. Went back to exchange them for an easier method, only to be charged a second dispensing fee. Could they not see these pills were too big for a tiny cat. Lack of care evident!"
"Izzy very unwell on Easter Sunday. So grateful that Pet West where open. Izzy was seen to by wonderful staff. The vet was very helpful friendly and professional. Couldn't thank them enough. Izzy is doing so much better. Would recommend Vet West Midland to anyone."
"Wouldn’t recommend this place at all. We were with this vet for ALL of our dogs for 20 years had not one single issue then all of a sudden we get a letter saying “we can no longer be your vet” due to apparently late payments ( first of all you were informed if there was going to be a late payment which might I add was rare, because guess what in this day and age everyone is struggling financially), on top of this we tried to get our little dog Tilly into another vet, they had to get the records from Vetwest and vetwest Midland decided to run our name through the dirt. You guys should honestly be ashamed to call your self a vet, you are here to focus on the pets but you aren’t doing that!! The old management was fantastic, they understood people go through hardships but their main priority was the ANIMALS at the end of the day. This new management are a bunch of low life’s who only care about the money!! Just disgusting how u treated a long time customer."
