"I HAVE SHOPPED HERE A FEW TIMES NOW AND THERE'S A WIDE RANGE OF BEAUTIFUL JEWELLERY TO CHOOSE FROM, GREAT PRICES AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF !"
"I cannot speak more highly of the staff! They were very approachable, bubbly and overall very helpful. I came in wanting a certain type of earring that they didn't have however Bronwen came up with an incredibly useful and creative idea! So I went with it and im stoked!"
"Jackie the manager went out of her way to help us with sourcing an engagement ring and came through with the goods. The service was exceptional and we recommend this store 11/10! Thank you :)"
"DO NOT SHOP HERE Been holding back this review because I was so furious. Went looking around for a smart watch for my mother for mothers day, sadly most shops had them online only and were too late for mothers day. Found what I thought was an amazing watch from shiels colonnades but turned out to be the worst week of my life. Bought her the watch which if you where wondering was the Active Pro Call+ SMART WATCH. And trust me I still don't know what was worse. The watch or shiels in general. I will break this down into 3 parts. Read what you want. 1. Purchase and reveal. My father and I went into the store where we looked around for the watch but after a while of not finding it we asked one of the 2 ladies working that day. The lady Jackie showed us where it was and grabbed it out for us, the watch was still in it's box but only a few where out and displayed in amongst a few bits and bobs. At this point Dad and I where very pleased with the service. This was the peak of our emotions of happiness. There where multiple colours but we wanted to get her a black watch. As it was in the box we could not see what colour it was, Jackie showed us what it looked like by sliding the box open and then opening the tabs and draw to show the watch and straps (KEEP THIS IN MIND). We agreed that we were pleased with this and had them run it up. At this point Jackie started helping with another customer and handed us off to the other lady who I dont remember her name. My apologies. She started to run it up and before we paid Jackie said, "don't forget to tell them about the no 'exchange' policy." (KEEP THIS IN MIND). The lady turned to us and said. "Yes there is not exchange once you leave." My father jokingly said, "No exchange? What are you trying to tell us." All 4 of us played it off. As they were packing it after we payed. I whispered to dad, "does exchange mean money as well?" He shrugged and we took our bag and left. We gave it to mum the day after mothers day and at this point I should point out that we bought the watch the day after because it went on sale from $800ish to $79. I gave it to mum and she was happy because she wanted a smart watch for ages. What she wasnt happy with were just a few things. • Wrist band too small • Dial and button on side were inconsistent • Frame rate of the screen was sluggish • Icons loaded slower than bread baking • The only wallpapers you could choose from were targeted towards children. The ones you could choose from where toy story, nemo, disney castle and earth photo from space. These gave us red flags and we instantly went to the internet to find out what people have said about this watch but we seemed to be the only one's to buy this product. After discussing what to do about this crisis we called shiels. Won't let me write anymore so read the rest on their FB"
"Poor post sales customer service. My partner and I got engaged in Jan 2020. In August one of the claws of my ring broke off. Thankfully my partner purchased the care plan and Shiels were happy to have it sent off for repairs. When I took the ring in, I was told to expect a couple of weeks before it returns due to COVID. I then received a call about a week later advising it was being sent back to the manufacturer for the repair and that it would be an additional 3-4 weeks from that time. I went back into the store at the 3 weeks mark to see if they had any further updates. Without even having a look in their book or in their computer system, the lady behind the counter said to me "well its only been 3 weeks. They said 3-4, so you can follow this up next week if you don't hear anything" as if me checking up on it was a waste of their time and she provided no further assistance. Eventually, I got my ring back and all seemed good. Fast forward 3 months post that repair to December and one of the waves/arms surrounding the claw set had popped off from the join to the claw set (photo from your website for reference to the ring so this makes sense). The second fault to the ring in the 11 months I had it. I took the ring back into the shop and the lady behind the counter arranged for it to be sent off and again, advised roughly 4 weeks before I would get it back, due to the time of year. At 4 weeks I received a call saying the jeweller had only just looked at my ring (pretty disappointing that it took that long!) and has deemed the damage as customer fault. I questioned this to the lady who called me, as it seemed pretty questionable to me that one of the claws was only repaired 3-4 months ago and now one of the parts that joined onto that part had come away from the claw set. And I asked her if it was possible the initial repair compromised the join that was now broken. The lady called the jeweller back to check then called me back and said no, the jeweller stated the ring has been "squished" therefore causing the damage. Pretty contradictory really, consider the wave/arm had come away from the ring, not been squished into it. I then said to the worker "well it needs to be repaired, so go ahead with it. However, I would like the jeweller to send me a photo of what it is that they mean when they say its been squished". The lady confirmed they could do this, took my email address and said she would arrange this for me. It has now been a fortnight since I requested the image and not only have I not received it, but I have called to ask when it will be sent at least 4-5 times. The various responses I have received from the girls in the shop are: "I will look into that for you and give you a call back" (no return calls where received). "Its noted here you were emailed on the 5th of January" - not true "Its been passed onto the head office to send it to you" I last followed up on Tuesday and the lady I spoke to said she actually had my ring in her hand! I said that I still had not received an email and she confirmed my email address (after I asked her to, as no one else had even bothered to do this yet. Pretty poor), which was correct and said she would follow this up again. Two days later and still no email! I am extremely hesitant to go collect my ring and pay for this repair out of my own pocket when I am yet to have it explained to me how this fault was caused by me and not the previous repair. The ring is only 12 months old and between the 2 repairs and the resizing, Shiels have had the ring for 3 months of that time! The likelihood of me purchasing from Shiels again is little to none, which should be pretty disappointing for your staff considering I will clearly be looking to purchase wedding bands in the near future."
