Reviews of Cedar Glen Farmstay
"Lively place to stay, we stayed in pur caravan. The farm tour to feed them all was great. Very enjoyable."
"This working farm with authentically vintage cottages is a great place to go for a mini break with the family, not too far from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. We stayed 2 nights, enjoying all the activities on offer - feeding the animals, walking the alpacas, learning to crack a whip and throw a boomerang, and on our final morning we completed the cave hike with Michael which provided breath-taking views of Lamington National Park mountains. Amber and Michael are both wonderful hosts who provide a traditional, home-cooked dinner and breakfast if booked as part of your stay. Dessert is also provided though the portion sizes are more than adequate so aiming to finish dessert each night was an effort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to couples and families alike."
"This is a genuine farm stay, in such a beautiful location. We took our daughter and two young grandchildren for a weekend. What an adventure for our little guys staying in a real old wooden house, feeding all the different animals each morning, collecting wood for our fire pit and just running about enjoying the outdoors. Our cute little Stinson Cottage was very comfy and Amber makes the animal experience very special for the children. Our thanks to all the team for making this such a great weekend with many treasured family memories."
"Words alone can’t seem to sum up our experience with Amber and Michael, if I had to just say one thing, it would be that it was definitely an unforgettable stay, and one that would be etched in the kids’ and our memories for a long time! Right from the get go, Amber and Michael spared no effort to make sure we got everything we needed for our short stay with them. Whilst accommodation was no 5-star hotel (that’s the whole point of a Farmstay isn’t it), it wasn’t a problem as the basic needs were definitely covered, and then some. We chose the Stinson Cottage which our family of four were comfortably settled in. Basic amenities were catered for (I.e. towels, blankets, pillows, a full kitchen, heaters) and the cottage provided a rustic feel and a glimpse into what farm life is about. In terms of the activities, the kids and us too had a blast with the animal feedings (think camels, ponies, pigs, sheep, chickens, geese, alpacas, cows), the alpaca walk and the boomerang/whip cracking! Amber and Michael were very accommodating and informative so all of us had a jolly good time! Meals (breakfast and dinner) were provided on request and I must say Amber’s a great cook! My usual picky little eaters loved every bit of it, especially the desserts! The highlight of our trip (or mine and my daughter’s at least) were Prada, Giorgio and Armani, the three super friendly farm dogs! We had so much fun cuddling with them that my daughter bawled when we headed to the city after the Farmstay because she missed them so much! All in all, definitely an experience worth if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and it definitely helps to reconnect the family to what’s really important in life (the limited cellphone reception also helped in this cause). I have my utmost respect for Amber and Michael, for being able to run a farm with so many animals and cater to guests coming in at the same time! I’ve already promised my kids a return trip!"
"If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable farm stay experience, look no further! My recent visit to this charming farm was an absolute dream come true. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty of the surroundings and the warmth of Amber and Michael they were incredible"
