"I’d give this a MINUS 5 stars if I could. As a mother, my experience with Shane Langsford would go down as one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life. I took my son to see him about 8 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. If what he concluded from the results of my son’s assessments was accurate, my son would be scraping the bottom of the barrel, possibly with some other devastating complex neurological diagnosis. I was left shattered, battered and bruised. Thankfully, my mother’s intuition was stronger than this ’learned’ man’s impressions. 8 years later, my son has accomplished more than most his age. He completed a 3 year scholarship at an international ice hockey academy in Ontario, Canada, is in his second year of a commerce degree at university and has just returned from a 6 week self guided trip through Europe planned and funded by himself. If I had told Shane back then, that this is what my son would achieve, I’ve no doubt he would have thought I was deluded. So parents. Trust your gut. Seek help but question everything. You know your child best, you know their history, their upbringing, their experiences, their character. Never stop believing. Shane, you could have ruined my son…and me. I won’t ever be able to forget that."

"Beware this Psychologist will debit your account without the agreed service being provided. I tried to make an appointment with PECS and was told they couldn’t possibly fit me in for several weeks. They wanted my credit card details and the card was debited for $200 well before the date of the appointment. The cost of the appointment was to be $1195. It was only after I made the appointment and they took my bank card details that they provided a copy of the Terms and Conditions which are not on the website. I personally went to the office to collect the paper work I had to fill out before the appointment. When I got there I had misgivings about the professionalism of the place and decided I would cancel my appointment 6 weeks in advance. I returned the paper work promptly, untouched and cancelled. They said this would cost me $50.00 to cancel 6 weeks in advance. I asked what the $50 was for and they said postage and handling when in fact no postage was ever made. I called consumer affairs and my understanding is that Terms and Conditions need to be explicitly available before anyone debits your bank account. The Psychologist was unfriendly and did not introduce himself when I went to the office to give back the paper work. He just asked for my bank card details again and said he could not possibly refund the $200 deposit because the system did not allow it. Then he went on holiday for 2 weeks. In the meantime I was constantly bombarded with emails selling appointments like they were a lucky dip ‘ up for grabs and first in first served’. This is after being told how hard it was to get an appointment in the first place. It was unnecessarily stressful and time consuming chasing these people up for my money. They refunded $150 out of the $200 they took. This service is not fit to be dealing with vulnerable people and is simply in the business of making money. There are plenty of other services out there who do the same job, who are friendly, caring and not out to rip you off. Avoid this service if you don’t want them helping themselves to your bank account."

"A wonderful service that was conducted in a very easy going manner. My son seemed to get through the testing quite well, although he did need the afternoon off school! The reporting back is very thorough and I got a lot of info about what is going on for my child. It made the process with the paediatrician much easier."
