"We highly recommend Kidz Biz Dianella! My children have attended for over 2 years, and we continue to be impressed, particularly by the fantastic, professional and caring staff, who really do feel like a second family to both us and our children! Our son attended a different day care before Kidz Biz Dianella, and I wish we had made the move sooner. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the garden and play areas are enormous and well-equipped."
"My kids enjoy going to Kidz Biz Dianella, the workers have a special bond with them and I trust when I drop them off they are in safe hands. They are fed well, and do fun activities. The building is nice and clean. They also enjoy the big outside natural play area."
"I left Kidz Biz Dianella last year, having now had at least six months of childcare experience at another centre, I feel I am now objectively able to say: Kidz Biz Dianella offers: poor hygiene, unresponsive management, staff who are not reprimanded for lazy and uncaring behaviour, extremely poor supervision and lack of strategies implemented to address issues among young children in their care. Issue: 1 - A prerogative for sending children home at every opportunity. I'm not sure how many times my one year old was sent home, I would say, at least once every three weeks, if not more often. I would say approx on one in ten of these occasions she may have been ill. So many times I, or a family member went to pick her up at the request of the centre, she might have had one nasal discharge (yes, a nose wiped once), have been "a bit unsettled": etc, once, I am not exaggerating, I turned up, having left work, only to have the manger smile at me and say, she's fine now, now that we have taken some clothes off her. 2- Lazy staff, uncaring, exposing children to the herpes virus. Once I picked my one year old up, having noticed a bright read bite mark on her arm, I asked the educator did she know when it had happened? "oh, it's bright red, it must have happened on the weekend" My response "she wasn't around children on the weekend and it is bright red". "yeah, it must have happened at the weekend" - and this was their most experienced and well-qualified staff member. My daughter by chance, happened to catch herpes, the same week that this staff member was sporting a large, weepy cold sore. God knows why, when you are sending kids home having wiped their nose once, you would allow a staff member to attend work when they have such a contagious wound. I didn't ask at the time if there had been a herpes outbreak, or if it was just "unlucky" that it spread to my child. She became quite ill. Knowing now that it is a lifelong virus, I'm very surprised staff work so closely with babies when they are so highly contagious, particularly as herpes, when spread to young infants, due to immunity not yet fully developed, can result in death. 3. When having met with the manager, after my daughter has been bitten multiple times, the final time was following a conversation with the manager the day before, I asked a staff member, how many children in the room? 10, I was told, with three staff members. Well why, for goodness sake, was a staff member not engaging that child, who had bitten my child 12 times or more (at this point I demanded a copy of the paperwork), plus other children, I estimated up to 60 plus bites, as they had bitten 5-6 other children multiple times I was told. I was asked if I wanted my child to be moved into the educators room, who had previously dismissed the red bite mark. "No thanks, I'm sure she is caring and attentive, but for some reason this is not extended to my child". It was clear then, that the manager had not investigated this. Why any organisation, would not want to investigate such lazy, deceptive, arrogant, attitude is beyond me. Especially when there are children in the care of their organisation who cannot speak for themselves. To sum it up, if you need to rely on childcare to attend work, look elsewhere, I was told by the manger that multiple parents had complained about their send children home policies, if you want your child to be safe in a place where staff have a good attitude and view of care towards your child, look elsewhere. If you want a common sense attitude to hygiene and health, look elsewhere. In my parting meeting with the manager, I said that, I thought I had had a very trusting and laid back attitude, having gone with the flow on many of their decisions. This statement was with agreed by the manager at the time. Sadly, I now realise that this was to the detriment of my child's experience. She is now happy in her new centre, hasn't been bitten once, and in over 6 months has only been sent home once. On the upside the garden is very beautiful, and the building is new."
"Spacious with a lovely yard. Well organised management. Caring and motivated staff. Fresh meals and a clean and well designed interior. Feel at ease sending my 2 children here. Staff have always been helpful and resourceful and location in a peaceful street adds to the appeal of the centre."
"Very good educators, caring about children’s development and delicious food options at kidbiz Dianella centre"
