Kitchen Craftsmen

"Starting off by saying overall workmanship was fantastic - really happy with the end product of our kitchen. We ended up going with Kitchen Craftsman as we were sold on the idea of our kitchen renovations being project managed, with us both working long hours and full-time jobs. We had several meetings with KC to discuss and finalise our kitchen design, however certain things were not communicated to the tradesman, which ended up costing us unaccounted for additional costs. We were also extremely disappointed by the lack of communication between KC and the recommended tradesmen. We ended up having to communicate directly with the tradesmen and following up repeatedly regarding timeframes around when they would be coming (as one turned up unannounced and thankfully I was working from home). Unfortunately, this was not adhered to with one tradesmen, who firstly did not give us a timeframe, then arrived 24 hours later despite being prioritised as being the "2nd job", and arrived at 6pm. At one point, 3 tradesmen were booked in to come in around the same time, which was nearly impossible for each of them to complete their jobs given the limited timeframes they have. Our tiler was fantastic and extremely accommodating to working alongside the other tradesmen. We had no communication initiated from KC during our 2 week renovation period, which turned into 3 weeks. We sent an email with feedback about our disappointment with the level of communication to our Project Manager. In return, we received phone calls from the tradesmen seeking feedback regarding their communication, which put us in an awkward situation with the works still going on in our house. On top of this, one of the tradesmen appeared at his next visit to our house extremely disgruntled. We were also left with leftover material to dispose of due to a mistake in the cabinetry. The project manager advised that he would complete a final inspection. When we received a phone call from the project manager, this was merely to request for a final payment one day after the kitchen was completed. When my husband discussed the final inspection, this was declined was advised not to be necessary. Overall, whilst workmanship was fantastic, I would not recommend KC based on the poor project management we received."

"We had full kitchen renovation and additional cupboards and benchtops installed about 6 years ago. Recently one of the sliding pantry drawers hinges started to come away from the cabinet wall. The response for them was immediate, with warranty technician arriving in 2 days. David who attended site quickly fixed the issue and whilst here took the opportunity to do minor re-alignment of a number of doors that had moved over the 6 year period. Overall very pleased with the timeliness of their warranty work, and the experience and quality of the technician."

"We have not enjoyed a good experience with the KC we bought a $35k plus kitchen only to discover that within a few years the laminate started to peel off. KC were very hard to get hold off and were reluctant to take responsibility, this problem has continued over many years and we have to keep glueing it back ourselves!! I have since made lots of enquires and did lots of research and it appears KC use an inferior product (glue) that they know is inferior and that this can happened. When speaking to other kitchen companies and the product manufacturer they all acknowledged this and said KC could use another product but choose not too! KC themselves told me they won’t change to a better glue either….One had to ask why!!!"

"We wanted more storage space in our kitchen. Jason Moscarda (designer) assisted us with the design to meet our needs. The final plan provided an increase of drawers and cupboards, incorporating the placements of new appliances and using quality door hinges and drawer rails. Installation of the kitchen units and appliances were completed to our expectations. Nik Avery coordinated the installation work and did well to have the post installation snags fixed. We are happy to have used Kitchen Craftsmen and would be happy to recommend them."
