Welcome to Sunrise Christian School & ELC, Marion! Located at Sturt Road, 286 in Marion, Australia, our institution is a point of interest for the local community. Initially known as Maranatha Assembly and School, Sunrise Christian School, Marion took over the school in 2002 and has faithfully served the local Christian community ever since.

In January 2019, Sunrise Christian School and Temple Christian College joined forces to offer a unique opportunity for middle school students (Years 7 to 9) at Sunrise Marion. Through this partnership, middle school students have access to Temple Christian College experiences while still being in the heart of their primary school. This seamless transition prepares them for further studies at Temple Christian College Mile End for Years 10 to 12.

Sunrise Christian School has a rich history that began over 45 years ago. While we celebrate the solid foundation that has been established, we are thrilled to continue growing and achieving remarkable milestones through our partnership with Temple Christian College.

Under the leadership of Principal Henry Engelbrecht, Sunrise Christian School, Marion is governed by Adelaide Christian Schools (ACS), an incorporated association that oversees multiple schools, including Temple Christian College, Sunrise Christian School – Whyalla, Adelaide Christian Schools Early Learning Centres, Discovery Christian College in Queensland, and international schools in South Carolina, USA, and Papua New Guinea.

In May 2022, our institution proudly opened its new architecturally designed Early Learning Centre (ELC) as part of a 4.5-million-dollar facility upgrade project. This expansion allows Sunrise Marion to provide education from ELC to Grade 9, offering a comprehensive educational experience for children at various stages of their school life.

We are delighted to introduce Mr. Henry Engelbrecht, the Principal of Sunrise Marion. With a dedicated team of educators, we strive to create a warm and welcoming family environment that supports our students in achieving their best. Our school promotes a smooth transition from ELC to Primary School and from Primary School to Middle School, ensuring a diverse and continuous learning experience.

Hello families! I am Linda Engelbrecht, and I am honored to lead the Sunrise Marion Early Learning Centre. With a Bachelor's Degree in Junior Primary and Early Childhood Education and 20 years of teaching experience, including 11 years at Sunrise, I am passionate about supporting children in their learning and growth.

At our ELC, we strive to help children understand their God-given purpose and deepen their knowledge of God, allowing them to become who He created them to be. We value the role of parents as the first educators and aim to be an extension of each child's home. Our inspiring, creative, imaginative, and fun environment supports children in their learning journey.
