About State Soccer
Welcome to State Soccer, located at Kidman Park, Dean Avenue in Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we offer exciting soccer sessions throughout the school term and all year round for children aged 18 months to 14 years. Our age-appropriate programs are designed to meet the developmental needs of each child, whether they are a beginner or a seasoned player.
At State Soccer, we believe in providing inclusive programs that welcome everyone who wants to discover the joy of soccer. We also offer specialized programs for those who are more experienced and seeking advanced training, such as Pre Grading, SAP, and NPL training.
A young soccer player's journey starts here. We provide an exciting, active, and safe learning environment where children will be encouraged to be confident, independent, and autonomous. Your child will be part of classes designed to be fun and engaging within a nurturing environment. Our aim is to enhance your child's gross motor skills and cognitive development.
In our sessions, toddlers will learn how to kick and throw a ball, catch a ball, and balance and stand on their tiptoes. With increased physical awareness and comfort, toddlers are more confident in moving about in their environment on and off the soccer pitch, individually and co-operating with coaches and others.
As children progress, they will discover the world game and improve their fundamental soccer skills, such as dribbling and shooting. Soccer involves a lot of attention to detail, focus, and concentration, and every child improves their coordination through activities that enhance their 'hand-eye', 'knee-eye', 'head-eye', and 'foot-eye' coordination. Additionally, playing soccer can help reduce shyness and contribute to your child's increased self-esteem.
Competition, tackling, and team play become vital parts of your child's learning experience as they develop functional game skills. Activities become more technical, but within a friendly and fun coaching philosophy. Playing soccer teaches children to cooperate with others, work together, and communicate to achieve a particular goal.
In our Core Skills program, running with the ball, dribbling, 1v1, scoring, passing, and tactical decisions come alive. Coaches use a holistic approach to enhance your child's skills in game situations, allowing them to apply freshly learned techniques to better themselves individually.
For children looking to showcase their creativity and individual flair, our class focuses on polishing their fundamental skills. They learn how to impact the game with their decisions and unique ability. This program challenges your child with opportunities to succeed, learn, and better themselves, whether they are playing with a club or not.
Our Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) targets player development for children aged 9 to 12, focusing on developing game-related functional skills. This is considered their Golden Age of learning soccer skills. Our play practice approach engages children in developing their technical skills in a fun, friendly, and educational learning environment. SAP programs are available for both boys and girls, and we also help children upgrade their skills to increase their chances of being graded favorably by local or NPL clubs.
At State Soccer, we understand that every child has unique strengths and areas for improvement. That's why our soccer camp offers a variety of flexible booking options to accommodate different schedules and preferences. Whether you choose to book for an entire week (three days) or opt for day or half-day sessions, our goal is to provide a supportive and encouraging environment where your child can grow both as a soccer player and an individual.
Our coaching staff are experienced in delivering lessons that benefit all children in developing soccer ability and gross motor skills. Our sessions are open to all levels of ability, and we tailor our programs to meet individual needs.
State Soccer School combines our European-style football practices and flair with the Football Federation Australia Curriculum. All of our programs include the four core skills essential for all soccer players: First Touch, Striking the Ball, Running with the Ball, and 1v1.
Whether you're starting your own journey or your child's journey of a lifelong passion for participation in soccer, State Soccer is here to support you every step of the way. Join us today and discover the joy of soccer with State Soccer.
