"Everything is so expensive. Some stuff is more expensive than retail price and they want $4 each for most books, $15 for some!! I saw a pair of (identical) candle holders for $5 but the lady said the price was for EACH... We left without buying anything"
"The most ridiculously expensive op shop in the Gold Coast. $48 for a second hand pair of men's shoes that would have cost $3 in the nearby AWL shop. I paid $60 for a large quality bed sheet and a King size duvet but when I got home I saw the sheet had been folded in such a way as to hide a large stain and the duvet turned out to be a Queen size. I could return then but my car does not run on fresh air. I've just looked at their 2022 annual report and yes they do a lot of charitable work, but clearly that does not include those of us that depend on their op shops I will go naked before I give them any more money for their vastly overpriced clothing. Whoever is in charge of these salvos stores needs to take action. And to anyone reading this, use Animal Welfare League. $2 per item or 3 for $5."
"Just visited this store today. They have a great selection of items, And the staff members are quite friendly and helpful. but ohgeez the prices are high Some of the prices in the store are ridiculous. I don't mean a slight increase. I mean, very high-priced. I'm not too sure what market they're trying to aim for maybe the rich people from Paradise point. If you are looking to buy something because you're not very well off, this is not the place for you. Ps Please Salvos Don't ask me "What we can do differently" because if you can't see that you must be very out of touch with the world."
"Prices at this store are hilarious! $70 for a hamper which is BRAND NEW at kmart for $25!!! Who even came up with that price? Pair of DIRTY SMELLY running shoes were $29. Manager at this store needs the sack. Absolute joke of an op shop. And they wonder why they can't accept any more donations? You have no room because you don't sell your ridiculously priced items!"
"$70 for a clothes hamper? $6 for a ugly photo frame? $50 for a pair of shoes TK max sell for $40. Not worth it. What happened?? Big sign on the front door stating no donations. Figure they don’t have any room because they’re charging stupid prices. Easier to go to Kmart and get a new item"
