Reviews of Goodstart Early Learning
"One star for the good location. One star for the good experienced staff. One star for the chef lady who is very friendly and helpful and makes yummy nutritious meals. Missing the forth star for the cleanliness and bad smell in pre kindy room. Missing the last star due to the uninvolved educators. Even offering a greeting seems reluctant. Despite having three educators in the room, it is very disappointing to see that no one seems willing to step up immediately to welcome and take the child from the parent. One day, my baby raised and opened their arms for a cuddle, but none of the three educators (all the children were content and happy) responded. My child eventually lowered their hands and stood there until I closed the door. What a heartbreaking way to start the day, witnessing your child being neglected during drop-off time. How can the center ensure parents are reassured about leaving their child in the hands of these apathetic educators? Since July 2023, there has been a new management team in place, combined with the unfortunate behavior of some new staff members. This has resulted in the worst working attitude I have ever encountered under the new management. There are numerous meetings and emails that provide evidence of poor communication, if they are willing to share them. While you rightfully expect your children to be safe and well cared for, be prepared for ongoing communication issues from this management group. They frequently claim to listen and value families, but are adept at merely pretending to put in effort. The reality is that they do not take feedback seriously. Their management skills are deeply disappointing, and it's questionable whether they should hold these positions. I genuinely pity the dedicated staff working under such inadequate management. I am at a loss for words, as providing feedback to this group is a complete waste of time due to their skillful use of excuses and explanations."
"I’ve been with Girrawheen for 7years and the staff are so friendly and understanding. The management is awesome and amazing. Tracey is a brilliant centre director"
"The staff at Goodstart Girrawheen are amazing. Our son has been attending since he was 4 months old and has built a strong bond with his educators. They are so caring and understanding and always ensuring that they’re communicating my sons needs and goals."
"Simply put, they're amazing and awesome! but why? Our daughter has been attending for 6 months (since 16months old) and the center, staff and peers have become such an important part of her daily life. She talks about everyone by name! The Center is "School" and she loves school. Even when driving by on weekends... "oooo it's my school!" Staff Jo, Diem, Tracey, Hsa, Lauren, Yasi, Dory and all the others Peers\Friends Amou, Hendrix, Matias, Evie, Liam and the list goes on. She has a lot of friends and tells us about all of them. The center uses an app called Storypark. Each room uses this to share photos and a story about all the happenings of the children for the day. This gives us parents a firsthand look into the fun and excitement of our daughters day. We see photos of social play, learning tasks for motor skills, confidence building games of obstacle courses, meal times, sensory games like finding hidden objects in the slime or even story time on the mat. It is truly a special & heart warming way to interact with the center and your child without being physically present. The staff even upload the feeding & nappy changing schedule for each day. You get to be completely involved and can communicate directly with the staff regarding your child. Our daughter had a natural fear of tunnels and confined spaces. At any play center or play ground, she simply wouldn't crawl through them. With the assistance of the staff and the social bonds and support of her friends. Our daughter now loves crawling through tunnels on any play center setup and you'd never know there was an initial reluctance. This confidence also translated to eating meals. Via specially designed motor skill games, our daughter now feeds herself using a spoon and fork and the photos (Storypark) of her doing these games clearly show her excitement, frustrations and determination. It was an amazing journey to watch! Meal times are nutrious and tasty, the meals & snacks of each day are also shared in Storypark. Chef does an amazing job at delivering a great menu every day. Luckily our daughter doesn't have a restrictive diet. Though we were aware the center will take the special needs of any child into consideration, as this was reassured during enrolment. All the staff are warm, welcoming and approachable, they're like members of an extended family. I honestly couldn't imagine any other Early Learning Center offering a better or more complete service than Gooldstart Early Learning Girrawheen! Our daughter is so comfortable, confident & happy and the best part is she arrives happy, leaves happy and is always looking forward to school tomorrow! So yes, Goodstart Early Learning Girrawheen is amazing & awesome!!"
"Best Early Learning Centre . I would give 10 Stars ️ 6 months ago I was a very anxious mummy who had to find the right daycare centre to put my daughter into. Many centres made us feel stupid & they were just cold when interacting with us . After many walk throughs we found Good Start Girrawheen . We got a sense of warmth & calm about Good Start Girrawheen as soon as we did a walk through. No question was to silly & they made us feel as ease . We do not regret going with our hearts on this one . The staff are beyond amazing . Our daughter has made bonds with her key educators Jo & Diem & talks about them all the time . Jo is stern & the most caring , funny & kind person & Diem is quiet , loving & just has the most beautiful soft personality that they make the room & teaching balance just perfect . Harper can’t wait to see them each day. She adores the Centre Manager Tracey her face lights up when she realises Tracey’s car is there so she can say good morning. Tracey is an amazing caring Centre Director & is always doing what is best for all her children & staff. The younger staff learn very quickly through the centres teaching & Hsa is becoming an amazing teacher & friend to our daughter . She has learnt what she likes & dislikes & interacts with her really well . Our daughter is learning so much for an almost 2 yr old she is quite bright & we thank the staff for the hard work & great teaching abilities for helping our daughter learn & grow . Going back to work was not easy but our family are Thankful for Good Start Girrawheen for making this journey a smooth & easy one for us"
