"Booked to fit a towbar on my Ford Ranger last December. Had to wait about 5 weeks, fronted up and waited for 3 hours only to be informed they had the incorrect towbar. Tried again about 10 days later, waited 5 hours for them to stuff it up. The wiring harness plug was fitted upside-down and so close to the hitch pin hole I couldn't fit the hitch pin in. The new Hayman Reese tow hitch I supplied had all the black powder coating rubbed off on one side, by the look of it, rubbed continually on concrete till the coating was rubbed off. The lockable hitch pin I supplied had the recessed black plastic trim smashed up on each end of the pin. This damage appeared to be a deliberate malicious act??? To add insult to injury, the wire harness cabling was zip tied under the spare wheel preventing the spare wheel from being lowered. To avoid going back there I spent an afternoon fixing this disaster."
"Where to start. Had a Piak front bar, rear bar and side steps fitted along with safari snorkel and rhino racks in June 2020. The original list of issues was: front right lights (indicator and fog) not connected; rear bar wiring was exposed and just crimped together; BSM sensors not correctly aligned; drilled incorrect holes in a-pillar for snorkel and did not patch, just left them exposed to rust; rubber strip in roof racks was cut into three pieces instead of a single piece. I also asked them to keep the front and rear OEM bars for me, which they did, but they had been scratched when I got them back. Obviously went back to resolve. Outcome was, wiring was redone, front lights were connected, they couldn't work out the BSM sensors and my personal favorite... when fixing the holes they'd drilled in the a-pillar, the guy doing it had a metal knife clipped to his shorts which then put scratches all through the clear coat on the driver's door. Quality stuff. Anyway, I managed to sort out the BSM sensors myself and gave up on everything else. Unfortunately the Piak bars now have rust coming through the powdercoat. I took the vehicle back to OL in March 2022 so that they could take photos and lodge a claim. I was told they probably wouldn't be able to fit replacements until May. I called in May after not receiving an update to be told the claim was approved but they did not have an ETA on the replacement bars. It is now late August 2022 and I have not received a single contact from OL and the bars continue to deteriorate. Not the best experience I've ever had..."
"The blokes at opposite lock smashed out an outback armour lift kit for me in dec 2021. Can’t recommend them enough."
"I purchased a fibreglass canopy and when I organised everything to get the canopy sorted I never received a call to get a update when the canopy was getting installed when I went to pick up my ldv t60 4x4 there was barley any diesel fuel left in my tank so I'm not impressed"
"We purchased and had recovery points fitted by Opposite Lock - excellent service. Had the stock, fitted and communicated well during the entire process. Certainly an easy friendly company to deal with. Thank you"
