"Top spot to watch the sunset in the west. Great view, great food and excellent beers. A regular haunt when I’m in Perth."
"The location is great. Just the front of main cottesloe beach. Its nice ocean view and convenient spot. Its really good for just drinking. I don't recommend to eat decent meal In here. Chips was good, but pizza and snack was tasteless."
"Still has a pub vibe, so it's not super modern. We had a good experience - plenty of beers on tap and descent wines Food was a reasonable price, fresh and tasty (we had the cheeseburger and fish and chips). Service was also quite good. Of course, can't fault the amazing views out over Cottesloe beach and the Indian Ocean. This place is deserving of a better rating than it has currently."
"Great service, incredible view and tasty food. Cheeseburger was addictive; juicy and delicious. Fish and chips were crispy and tasty. Highly recommended!"
"I ate the so called "New York Strip" steak for $27. I ordered The New York Strip *medium rare* which was advertised with "chimichurri" sauce which turned out to be a brown mess that tasted like burnt olives (google search for chimichurri and tell me how they managed that!) and a salad, which turned out to be nothing but spinach and thinly sliced radish (no salad dressing). The first iteration of my steak was akin to grisly leather - not only overcooked but a terrible cut of meat you'd find at front of the rack at Coles - probably 20% sinew (which of a 180g steak meant every bite was very chewy). The chimichurri sauce was also forgotten and I had to request it be brought out, but quickly regretted this decision. I'm not usually one to complain - but I sent back the meal as I could not stomach anything but the chips. The waiter was very helpful, and apologised for the state of my meal, and offered to replace the meal with a new one (minus the sauce due to concern for my own health) cooked properly. Great! Not great. The attached photos are the second attempt that the chefs had to cook a terrible cut of meat that is less than a Cm thick to medium rare. To their credit there was one spot where the meat was thick enough to not cook through entirely within 4 seconds - I think I managed to capture it quite nicely in the beautiful cottesloe evening light. All in all, the cut of meat was terrible, whoever orders the produce for this venue needs to up their budget to match the exorbitant price of the food. I think I can attribute the overcooked meat to the thin, rancid cut and I think the chefs did their best with what they had. However the salad was disgusting, and the sauce that they served with my first dish should be indicted in court if I don't wake up tomorrow. The Verandah Bar - have a drink, enjoy the view, and then eat at Il Lido down the road. (seriously I cannot stress enough how bad the sauce was) EDIT: Look at how they spelled "Verandah""
