At Mount Hawthorn Playgroup, we welcome anyone with young children from birth until the year they start pre-primary. You don't even need to live in the area to become a member! Our aim is to provide a space where both children and adults can make lasting connections and create wonderful memories.
When you bring your kids to our playgroup, they'll be thrilled to discover a whole room filled with age-appropriate toys and plenty of other kids to play with. They'll be entertained for hours while you enjoy some well-deserved adult conversation.
One of the things that sets us apart is our commitment to safety and security. We have both indoor and outdoor play areas that are completely child-proof, giving you peace of mind while your little ones explore and have fun.

We understand that life as a parent can be hectic, which is why we don't judge if you show up in your "loungewear" (aka pyjamas that don't look like pyjamas). We've all been there! And if you have an appointment that isn't kid-friendly, don't worry. Our playgroup is filled with parents who are more than happy to host a playdate for your little one, and they'll be grateful for the favor when they need it too.
At Mount Hawthorn Playgroup, we are run by dedicated volunteers who check emails a couple of times a week. We appreciate your patience as we get back to you.

"I did not enjoy my two trials at this playgroup at the end of 2020. The mums in the midweek session were cliquey and unfriendly. The session coordinator did not bother to get off her seat or say anything like hello. Both weeks. Additionally, you have to enter from the building and not the side gate out on the road - the coordinator for the midweek group watched me as I tried to get in. There was no sign on the street gate (not to use it) at the time I attended. Really off putting and not good enough as an introduction to your group. The facility is very nice with a central location but not nice enough to come again. Edit: I also emailed the coordinator/unfriendliness issue to the committee after the second trial. The post first trial email said the time slot was a good fit and I wanted to see if the second trial was right. The only solution presented at the time was going to a different morning session. This was not a suitable solution for me."
