Meerilinga Training College

Welcome to Meerilinga Training College, located at 22 Southport Street in West Leederville, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a university that has been a pillar in the community for over a century. In fact, we are excited to celebrate our Centennial throughout 2022, marking a significant milestone in our history.

At Meerilinga Training College, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals to take the next step in their careers and become Early Childhood Educators. Our courses, including the CHC30113 Certificate III, CHC50113 Diploma, and traineeships in Early Childhood Education and Care, are eligible for the Lower Fees Local Skills initiative, making them more accessible and affordable.

We are dedicated to providing quality, educational, and play-based early learning programs for families who want to enrich their child's early learning and development. Our Pre-Kindy Program is designed for children aged 2.9 to 5 years, while our Bindi Kindi Program caters to children aged 2 to 3 years. Both programs offer a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to grow and thrive.

In partnership with KEYS and the City of Cockburn, Meerilinga supports families from East Fremantle to Rockingham by offering parenting courses and services. We understand the importance of building a strong support network, which is why our playgroups provide a platform for families to connect with others and form lasting friendships.

In addition to our educational programs, we are committed to promoting inclusivity and social justice. We recently held our annual NAIDOC Week celebration at Meerilinga Beechboro, where over 300 individuals, including children, staff, students, community members, dignitaries, and family members, came together to honor Indigenous culture and heritage.

As a not-for-profit organization and registered charity, Meerilinga Children and Community Foundation aligns with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Our mission is to support children, their families, and the community as a whole. We strive to raise the status of children in Western Australia and provide outstanding development and well-being opportunities.
