"The staff was so rude, accused me of stealing JUST BECAUSE I had an extra plastic bag, containing things from another asian supermarket. she dug through my plastic bag, even though I already showed her my receipt which clearly stated all the products (excluding mushrooms that were my friends), she accused me of stealing seaweed, which was FIRST on the receipt, and when I pointed it out that it was there and i did not steal anything, she just rolled her eyes. Incredibly rude/ and did not apologise. Do not go here, there are much better and cheaper asian supermarkets nearby Chinatown. The things are messily labelled so that you would not know the accurate prices, and based on friends' personal experience, her mother was overcharged with extra things she did not purchase. All my experiences here are bad, as staff are incredibly unfriendly, and for what? Unpleasant experience, and based off other reviews, clearly did not change despite the negative feedback given by other previous customers. I recommend going to Homes supermarket instead which is very close by. The staff in this discussion is the lady with embroidered eyebrows, very rude and disrespectful I understand that theft is a common occurrence at this store based on one reply from the supermarket, but it is NO EXCUSE to be so rude. Worst experience ever."
"Shocking customer service. The girl at the counter service doesn’t seem like she wants to be there at all. Threw all my shoppings into my shopping bag, packet of chips on the bottom and heavy cans she threw them on the top. No greetings whatsoever, no asking how you would like to pay (she just assume I’m paying by card and I finally figure out I’ve to scan my card at the eftpos machine), no passing the receipt, it’s self service getting the receipt from the machine and of course, no goodbye. Not a single word from her mouth, shocking to see customer service like that in Australia, very sad."
"I’ve been here before to buy an alcoholic drink called Soju so I went back there this Saturday afternoon to repurchase some for a house warming, the woman asked for my ID. I understood her reasoning as I often get asked, I only turned 18 this year. I had left the physical copy of my drivers license in my car so I used mySAgov app on my phone, she didn’t even look when I showed her and she refused to serve me because I didn’t have my physical copy. She insisted that I wasn’t 18, shouting at me. I walked out, she humiliated me and it was so frustrating because I was being honest. I’m sorry if the store’s poor service is uncommon but as a Foodland worker, I would never be so unkind to a customer, if I had to decline, I would be polite about it."
"Not the most pleasant shopping experience. Shop was untidy as if not cleaned in months, some items were way past expiry and the organisation was poor making it hard to find anything. Staff not friendly or welcoming and was overcharged with no receipt given. Not going back here for sure"
"Be careful how much did you pay before you walk out the shop. The receipt always showed the wrong money, wrong items and they could overcharge you. Also the cashier is never help costumer bagging their stuff. No price tags on every items or shelves is so annoying as well."
