"A very interesting place to learn about some history - and a very reasonable admission fee ($15.50 per adult). There's parking available right there. Definitely eerie to stand where they executed people, I have to imagine the evening ghost tours are fantastic!"
"Nice well organised museum, everything is in good condition. You can touch the history. And it's perfect place for a picnic near the parking infront museum"
"Great ghost tour with Allison. She explained a lot of interesting stories about the gaol and the manner of death that fell on many there. While we didn't experience any ghosts on this particular tour, we heard previous ghost experiences. it was a very interesting experience that was made enjoyable by Allison. Thanks"
"We had limited time in Adelaide so arrived quite late in the day but the staff were amazing - friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We really enjoyed our self paced tour of the prison - a mix of old and "newer" prison history. We visited on a 38 degree day, and were handed a spray bottle of chilled water for our walk around! Was a really thoughtful and appreciated touch - and kept the teenagers "entertained" as the rest of us took our time. Very impressed."
"We done a self guided tour and enjoyed our visit. My son got to do a School holiday activity while I delighted in the old buildings & stonework. My son is 3 and we spent approx 70 minutes here however, you could extend that another hour by reading about the history (something young kids aren't interested in nor will they let you take much time doing so haha)"
